What´s the name of your band? The band is called: HAK-ED DAMM

How was the band formed? The band was formed in 2007 by me (Zokvist) and Silencer. We wanted to create a brutal war-machine band. So we found two fast guitar players and a violent bass player able to meet our needs. And then we could create some brutal black metal in our own style.

Can you tell about your band? We recorded a demo-cd called "Black Tortured Metal". After that we composed and released in 2012 our first album called "Nekrowristfucked". The band played some gigs in Canada and U.S.A. Then just took a break from 2011 to 2014. And then we are now acive since few months to restart the machine with two new members.

All the members are from Quebec City in Canada.

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Having fun playing music and mixing styles. Share ideas and drink some beers. So we recorded the demo-cd and decide to share it to the people to let'em know we just exist.

Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? Very simple, we are playing fast and brutal metal. Our influences are black metal, and the sound is raw. We don't like slow composition

Where was your first gig? Our very first gig was in our hometown in Quebec City, Canada in a venue called "L'Anti".

Where was the latest gig? The last gig, I cannot really remember in which venue it was but it was in the province of Quebec too.

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? As a singer I'm writing my own lyrics. The members share some riffs and normally write the music together.

Who has the best since of humor in the band? All members got that sense but only one is the kidding whore (Exu) l.o.l

What's good/bad with the band?/What genre do you feel you are?

Fast tracks, good feelings and brutality.

We are a brutal black metal band.

Good and bad with the band, dont know if its good or bad but for sure we got less time than years 

before to play and practice. We all got families. But it really stays a nice hobby thru.

Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about? Because that is the style each member like and gets feelings with. Songs are about war, suicide, antichritianism and psycho-disorders.

Do you write your own material or mainly covers? All tracks are written band Hak-Ed Damm, few covers can be done in times too.

How old are you? Members are between 26 to 35 yo.

How old were you guys when you first stood on stage? Most of us did the first gig between 1995 and 2001 I'd see maybe average 20 yo

What year wat the band started? 2007 officially

Best/worst gig you've played? I'd say that all gigs are good gigs because there is no bad gigs or critics all can be seen as a experience to keep it better in the future ones.

What places will you be playing in in the imidate future? For the moment no gig are planned, we are slowly restarting the training.

Where have you played from then till now? We did gigs many gigs in the province of Quebec, we also travel to some states in the U.S.

Is it always the same songs live? No, set list always changes

What are the plans for the rest of the year? We are working on new material for 2015

How do you get psyched up for a gig? Good rehearsals and good beers that's it !

What are your goals with your music? Have fun doing the better hobby in the whole world

When did you decide to go all in for the music? When we first heard our first demo-cd. Why not to share it with the world

Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? Main inspiration is coming from 90's bands.

What are your sources of inspiration? All metal music is inspiration.

What's the first step when making a new song? Write song then vocals can be done after. All lyrics come with the feeling.

How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? People are increasingly indebted and get fucked by the government, so we should not be surprised that most people try to save money. And with all the new technology, everything has become so easy ...

What would be your dreams for the band? Members like to play the main festivals.

Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? Death, Black, Classic, Punk, Speed, Grunge...

What would be your greatest fears for the future? No fear for the future. The future does not exist so why fear something that is none

When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? No fear, we are playing our music, if people dont like, then just get the fuck off.

What are the biggest obstacles for a band? Those who think only their own music is true...
