What´s the name of your band? The MindWire

How was the band formed? i don't really remember, it was around 2008 maybe a bit earlier. We were youngsters when this thing started, we were listening lots of different types of music but mostly punk, grunge and psychedelic rock. Padelis ( Guitars ) And Sergio ( Drums ) are long time friends and they've been playing together since 2005 in different projects. The band was formed under the name '' MindWiresociety '' but around 2011 right before our first lp release we changed our name to '' The MindWire ''

Can you tell about your band? We are not part of this corrupted music industry, We only play music just to satisfy our own feelings and our passion for music. For This Reason you can't find anywhere our  records and the previous releases. The only way is by asking the band in personal or other trustworthy people of our knowledge. We are free people and we choose to promote our music by our own with out any limitation. our style is a blend of our favourite music styles. Grunge / Down tempo / doom / Indie. we prefer to play in sweaty basements rather than big stages. we simple don't like all this rockstar attitude and we are trying to avoid as much is we can bands like that

Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band?

All the band members are currently in Athens // Greece

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Nothing just playing for satisfying our needs. Music is a nice method of propaganda  to pass your ideals

Where was your first gig? it was an irish pub called '' Mike's Irish Bar ''

Where was the latest gig? K94  our lovely sweaty basement, Athens Greece

What's good/bad with the band?/What genre do you feel you are? The band thing with the band is the band.

Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? We have record and released so far one demo ep called '' insecure Personality '' 2009 a 6 track ep called '' Independent source of happiness '' 2010 and a full length album called '' Our deepest fear comes at night ''

How old are you?/What got you started in music? P 24 . Pan 27 ( i think ) S. 24

How old were you guys when you first stood on stage? Around 15years old

What year was the band started? 2007 - 2008 

Witch band is the best you´ve seen? Pearl Jam  OAKKA Stadium Athens Greece 2005

Have you had any bigger tours from start to now? just a three day tour To Scotland

How big crowds do you usually play for? it depends 

What are the plans for the rest of the year? After a long period of recording absence we started  recording  new material. We don't really know what is going to happen

Where do you usually play? Basements , Small DIY Venues, Squats , Backyards

What are your goals with your music? To pass our message to as many people as we can

Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? our inspiration is mainly produced by our daily life. But of course we all have a favourite band which is called '' Alice In Chains ''

What are your sources of inspiration? mostly personal stories and experiences. it's a messy period you know bad things is happening to the whole world. this things can't remain untouched

What's the first step when making a new song? A Riff i suppose

How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? YESYESYES. DOWNLOAD AS MUCH MUSIC AS YOU CAN. FUCK THE CORPORATE SHITTY BANDS. SUPPOR YOUR LOCAL UNDERGROUND SCENE.

What do you work with outside of the band and the music? everyone has jobs. i don't think it's necessary to mention them

What would you do if there was no music? my real time job.

Where do you rehearse? we rent a practice space

What do you feel is the best live band you've seen? Pearl jam or deftones 

What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? i think the passion for this scene. Athens underground scene  is growing instantly. we have a few good diy places to play a show without renting the venue, the shows are mostly free and donation based . We all love what we do and we don't associate our music with money ,fame etc. so it's esier this way. Just to name a few good bands that you should interview and check.

Describe your show, visually and musically Sweaty // Stinky // Beer Can Throwing 

How do you view the musicindurty of today? we don't belong and the so called music industry of today, it's all fucked up nowadays , the all want to look the same and be the really deal. in the country of corruption , zorbas and bankruptcy this can't happen. Learn how to play the guitar first and then talk. Actions Bring Results SUPPORT YOUR UNDERGROUND SCENE

What advice would you like to give other bands? Hahahhaaha fuck you. come with us. unless you are a nazi scum fuck. then go fuck yourself 

What is best/worst with playing the clubs? come on, there is nothing good for a band playing in a club. We all know that in the end all the money is gonna end up to the venue manger and YOU WILL TAKE YOUR BALLS

Tell us about upcomming gigs and why we should be at them? Come and meet us we are friendly and cool guys. And  not come only to see us. come and support the whole show, see all the bands that they are playing and buy merch to support them

How would you describe your sound in one sentence sexy and rebellious

What was one of the most quarrelsome times for you in the band? it's funny story, back in the days when we used to play in  bigger venues with entry fee. We were playing in the typical battle of the bands gig. Soo we wanted all of our  friends to be in this show and have fun. so we gave them all of  our tickets that we had as a band and it was supposed to be sold ,  So we can earn a good position in the line up. Of course the tickets was given to us just to sold them to our friends so all the money will go to the production label that was organising the gig. Nothing like that happened all of our friends had a ticket, we didn't had the money from the tickets that was sold out, but all of our friends were inside the venue. Hhahahaha, And when the crappy dude came by  and ask us what the fuck is going on here, were is the money. give me back my  tickets, i will sue you and stuff like that. Of course nothing like that happened. We were like 50 people against two.

Whats your Pre-show ritual? Beers / chatting with the people that is next to us
