What´s the name of your band? MK: GARAGEDAYS
How was the band formed? MK: I formed the band around 2005
Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band?
MK: We are all from Rattenberg/Radfeld Austria
Marco Kern: Vocals, Rhythm guitar

Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? MK: 100% NASTY CREW
Where was your first gig? MK: In a small pub in our town
Where was the latest gig? MK: In Germany
Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? MK: I write the lyrics/songs and we work together on the sound and reate that piece of shit.
What's good/bad with the band?/What genre do you feel you are? MK: Funny question,lol all is good with the band. We are Heavy Metal
Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about? MK: Because we grew up with this music and we identify with it! Your songs about our life, dissapointments, assholes, booze and all this shit that sometimes happens in everybodys life. But also from positive things :) Just gave a listen and you know what I´m taking about!
Do you write your own material or mainly covers? MK: We write our own material. No covers!
Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? MK: We recorded 4 Albums 2 of them are released worldwide. Our Debutalbum "DARK AND COLD" 2011/MASSACRE RECORDS and "PASSION OF DIRT" 2014/ROCKSECTOR RECORDS

How old are you? MK: I´m 30 . My boys are all 24 years old
At what age did you start playing? MK: I started in the age of 14, formed GARAGEDAYS in the age of 19/20 Dominik was 14 years old when we formed the band.
How old were you guys when you first stood on stage? MK: 19 and 14.
What year was the band started? MK: Around 2004/2005
What places will you be playing in in the imidate future? MK: We will be on Tour in early 2015 in Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, UK, Spain and some more....Announcement will be made in time by the Management!
Where have you played from then till now? MK: Germany, Austria, Swiss, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium, Italy can´t remember all
Witch band is the best you´ve seen? MK: TWISTED SISTER
Is it always the same songs live? MK: No, we change the setlist
What has been the best/most promising gig so far? MK: All gigs are promising, but in my opinion the best Tour was with Jake E Lee´s RED DRAGON CARTEL
Have you had any bigger tours from start to now? MK: With MASTER back in 2011
What are the plans for the rest of the year? MK: We are busy writing new songs and prepare us for the upcoming Tour!
Where do you usually play? MK: Everywhere
How do you get psyched up for a gig? MK: I like to be by myself, warm up my voice and also the boys keep it calm
What are your goals with your music? MK: We would like to suggest honesty, authenticity and maintenance by assets
When did you decide to go all in for the music? MK: From the beginning
Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? MK: I´m more inspired by the old bands
What are your sources of inspiration? MK: People and their behavior inspires me a lot, and of course life itself.
What's the first step when making a new song? MK: Something concerns me very much and I HAVE TO write a song about it :)
How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums?
MK: As long as you pay for the downloaded song everything is fine,lol No, i understand I also bought albums and only one
or two songs were worth it. So, I think it´s a good way to download your favorite songs and not full lenght albums if you don´t like all songs on it!
What would be your dreams for the band? MK: The dreams were allways big and still are. You have to think big to have the force to endure! And every year we come closer!
Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? MK: I prefere bands like Motörhead, Metallica, WASP, Savatage, Twisted Sister, Thin Lizzy and so on also Dominik do. Matti likes a lot Led Zeppelin and all this Stoner Rock bands but also Heavy Metal. Rene likes bands like Mötley Crue and also all kinds of Blues and Rock and Metal. So you see we have lot´s of influences.
What do you hold most dear? MK: My wife and my little daughter
What would be your greatest fears for the future? MK: To lose them
What do you work with outside of the band and the music? MK: Blacksmith
How important are your fans? MK: Very very important, I love to hear the different opinions after the shows or about the albums. I also appreciate their criticism. That´s more helpfull I guess!
How often do you rehearse? MK: 4 days in the week we are in the practice room.
Where do you rehearse? MK: In a Garage on a scrapyard. This explains the bandname hehehe
Name 2 of your own songs you like at the moment? MK: NEVER GIVE UP, SCARS OF LIFE
What do you feel is the best live band you've seen? MK: TWISTED SISTER
What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? MK: To create it, the absolute passion and belief it. But call it quiet madness, lol

Describe your show, visually and musically MK: 100% NASTY CREW
What are the biggest obstacles for a band? MK: The bandmembers. Everybody in the band have to work for the dream and have to give 100% of all!! Otherwise you lost!
Tell us about upcomming gigs and why we should be at them? MK: Unfortunatly I can´t talk about our upcoming gigs. But watch out for our Tourannouncement later this year! And if you´ll made the decision to visit our show you´ll be surprised I guess!

What is your favorite crappy instrument? MK: My voice
Whats your Pre-show ritual? MK: Hanging at the merch stand and having some beers with the fans!
