What´s the name of your band? Ultra-Violence
How was the band formed? In 2009, when we met at school

Can you tell about your band? We are a young thrash metal band

Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band?

We’re all from Italy and we are:

Loris Castiglia (vocals/guitars)

Andrea Vacchiotti (guitars)

Roberto “Robba” Dimasi (bass)

Simone Verre (drums)

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Just play our heavy music and have a lot of fun

Where was your first gig? At “Diamond Cave” in Chianocco, Italy (we are only 15 years old)

Where was the latest gig? At “Centro Tecchio” in Vicenza, Italy (the last gig of the “European Hazard” tour)

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? We write the songs all together in the rehearsal room

Who has the best since of humor in the band? Robba of course, but all togheter we had the best fun moments ever

Do you write your own material or mainly covers? Our own fucking songs of course

Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they?

“Wildcrash” EP (2012) – Punishment 18 Records

“Privilege To Overcome” (2013) – Punishment 18 Records

How old are you?/What got you started in music? We’re all 20 years old right now, we were 15 when we started like a band

At what age did you start playing? When I was 12 with a calssical guitar

What year was the band started? 2009

Best gig you've played? In Hungary or Spain i think

What places will you be playing in the immediate future? Everywhere it’s possible

Where have you played from then till now? We played in Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Olland, Switzerland and Hungary till now

Witch band is the best you´ve seen? I think we can all agree on Havok

Is it always the same songs live? We use to change the setlist sometimes

Have you had any bigger tours from start to now?

We had 2 tours to now:

“Ride Across The Spain” mini-tour (2013)

“European Hazard” tour (2014)

What are the plans for the rest of the year? Enter the studio to record the new album

What are your goals with your music? The last one was the sign with Candlelight Records, we’re so proud and excited

Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern?

Both of them

What's the first step when making a new song? Write the main killer riff

How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? I think this helps the new bands much more than they believe

What would be your dreams for the band? Being able to live with our music and make a mark in the thrash metal history

Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? We like all kind of metal music, but we listen also a lot of other kinds of music

When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? That Andrea hit me in the face with his sharpened guitar making me bleeding (yes, it’s already happened)

What do you work with outside of the band and the music? We go to work and study like every 20 years old guys

What would you do if there was no music? We would probably die right now

How important are your fans? So fucking much, they are the best and we use to call them “Ultra-Maniacs”

What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? Send us a low quality pic of ourselves to sign and send back to his future husband as a wedding gift (whoever you are we love you so much)

How often do you rehearse? 3 times a week when we are writing new songs like now

Where do you rehearse? In the “Ultra-Room”, our personal rehearsal room at Simone’s house

Name 2 of your own songs you like at the moment? “L.F.D.Y.” and “Turn Into Dust”, we love play them live

What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? Passion, not money of course

Any pearls of wisdom for all other bands out there? If you have the passion people realize of that and the good things will happen very soon

Would you like to add anything else? Be yourselves and help the other bands like you, we don’t need any war of the poor

What are the biggest obstacles for a band? Be difference, stand out from all the others

What was one of the most quarrelsome times for you in the band? When we are writing new stuff because each of us wants the best and we discuss a lot for the best variant, but this is a good thing
