How was the band formed? IT WAS FORMED FROM THE HATRED AND DISGUST FOR THE KIND OF MUSIC THAT WAS PASSED TO US AS "METAL" IN THE LATE 80s / EARLY 90s. IT WAS A DEFIANCE TO ALL THAT MAINSTREAM BULLSHIT.
Can you tell about your band? ORIGININAL NAME WAS DOMINION. IT WAS STARTED IN 1990 WITH BLOOD ON BASS AND VOCALS, FUNERAL ON GUITAR. WE HAD THE IDEA OF CREATING DOOM/DEATH METAL, BUT IT TOOK A FEW YEARS AND THE ADDITION OF TYRANT SOLELY ON VOCALS BEFORE WE FELT WE HAD SOME CONCRETE SONGS. THE NAME CHANGED BRIEFLY TO BORN FROM FEAR, BUT SOON THEN AFTER CHANGED TO GRAVEWURM IN 1992 WHEN MORE BLACK METAL INFLUENCES WERE ESTABLISHED.
Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band? WE STARTED IN CLARION, PENNSYLVANIA. NOW THE CURRENT LINE UP RESIDES IN THE AREA OF CLEVELAND, OHIO. LORD MASSILION IS ON DRUMS, VON SLIGON IS ON BASS AND FUNERAL GRAVE IS ON GUITAR AND VOCALS.
What was the ambitions of the band when you started? TO CREATE METAL THAT WE WANTED TO HEAR OF WHICH WE ENJOYED.
Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? IT IS A DARK JOURNEY OF VARIOUS FANTASY TALES USUALLY INVOLVING HEAVEN AND HELL, CREATURES OF BOTH REALMS AND THE STRUGGLE OF MORTALITY CAUGHT BETWEEN THE TWO.

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? I HAVE WRITTEN THE MAJORITY OF THE MUSIC AND LYRICS SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THE BAND. OTHER MEMBERS HAVE CONTRIUBUTED OCCASIONALLY OVER THE YEARS.
Who has the best sense of humor in the band? PROBABLY LORD MASSILION
What's good/bad with the band?/What genre do you feel you are? THE LACK OF A STABLE LINE UP HAS ALWAYS PLAGUED THE BAND. WE PLAY PRIMITIVE BLACKENED DOOM.
Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about? WE WERE INITIALLY INFLUENECED BY MANY DOOM BANDS AND BLACK METAL BANDS.
Do you write your own material or mainly covers? WE CREATE OUR OWN MUSIC.

Where have you played from then till now? MOSTLY EAST COAST USA. WE DID 3 SHOWS IN FINLAND AND 1 IN ITALY 2009.

Is it always the same songs live? THE SET LIST HAS CHANGED SINCE THE EARLY DAYS, BUT OVER THE PAST 4 YEARS, IT HAS REMAINED 90% THE SAME. THE NEW LINE UP WILL LEARN SOME OTHER SONGS FOR NEXT YEAR.
What has been the best/most promising gig so far? TAMPERE FINLAND AND BERGAMO ITALY
Have you had any bigger tours from start to now? WE TOURED WITH WATAIN, ANGELCORPSE AND NEGATIVE PLANE IN 2007.
How big crowds do you usually play for? SMALL CROWDS UNDER 100.
What are the plans for the rest of the year? TO FINISH WRITING SONGS FOR OUR UPCOMING ALBUM.
Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? THE ELDER GODS OF METAL CONTINUE TO HOLD INSPIRATION FOR US. MOST MODERN BANDS DON'T INTEREST OR AFFECT US.
How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? DOWNLOADING IS WEAK. VINYL, TAPES AND CDS ARE STRONG.
What would be your dreams for the band? TO DO A PROPER TOUR OVERSEAS.
