Have any of you played in other bands? Zozi Fernando: Thanx by the oportunity Robex! Yes, our drummer, Daniel "Koervo" Silveira played in a band called SOUNDER and Maicon Alves Played in a band called MORTAL HATE, both are bands from the same region as CHAOS INC. 

How is it that you started playing music? ZF: I personaly started playing guitar with 15 years old just to play Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse, Megadeth and some stuff like that! That was the bands that we started listening when you are a teenager.

What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you? ZF: "Zozi" Fernando, guitars, 27. Maicon Alves, guitars 27. Eduardo Matos, bass and vocals 26. Daniel "Koervo", drums, 27.

Have you had other previous members? ZF: Yes! Christiano Santos, Bass and Vocals from 2010 to 2012.

Did you make music even when you were young? ZF: When I started playing guitars I always tryed some riffs with a friend, Douglas Germano, and we used to jam a lot of covers back in the day and have some fun with own stuff.

Where are you from? ZF: São Paulo - Brazil!

What year did the band form? ZF: 2008. 

What's your style of genre? ZF: We try to have not a defined one, but I think its kinda Thrash-Death Metal. 

What inspires you? ZF: Music and people around us!

How often and where do you reherse? ZF: Music and people around us!

Do you have other interests of work outside the band? ZF: Yes, all of us do work in other area, 'cause living on music with a good quality of life down here in Brazil its almost impossible. We work on this like being our job, but we dont have any support to do it as our main wark. Its though sometimes, but like this we can make what we want when we want!

Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? ZF: We used to have one, but I think that work with bigger bands. To our size of band we do it ourselfs. 

Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that?  ZF: Yes! Actualy we're finishing our first full album, and some support like that would be great! Labels are necessary, 'cause they have a vision of the whole stuff.

What made you decide to make this music? ZF: Have fun friends playing our own stuff!

What are your songs about? have songs about some issues of life nowadays.

Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? ZF: Almost all structures from ower songs are made by me and Daniel (drums), and Lyrics are almost from Eduardo and Daniel too.

Do you start with the music or the lyrics? ZF: Normaly we start with the instrumental stuff!

Have you done any covers live? ZF: Normaly we play one or two covers on stage. Me and Eduardo have done a video cover for Rapture, from Morbid Angel.

What language do you sing in? ZF: English. But we have some parts in portuguese in a new song!

What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? ZF: Last gig was about 1 year ago, 'cause some line up problem, but we are getting back! The bigger croud was in Sao Bernardo do Campo - Sao Paulo - Brazil, when must be like 300 guys out there. That was a big event with lot of good local bands!

What ages are most of your concert attendants? ZF: You got no support of producers and houses you play, but its difficult for every side. Thats why we try to make some selection and pick some events that make it rule.

Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary?  ZF: Always the same, 'cause we have not enough finished songs to vary.

Do you have a regular place you play live often? ZF: Not really.

What was your first gig like? ZF: It was a real mass! We've been excited as hell, but on stage no one used to listen any one quite right hahaha.

What was your latest gig? ZF: It was great! Lot of friends on the croud! We played in Sao Caetano - Sao Paulo.

Have you had to cancel a gig? ZF: Yes, for some health issues.

Where do you plan to gig the comming year? ZF: We wanna play as much places as possible!

When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? ZF: We had some EPs and T-shirts for sale, but its all over. We need to make more!

Where can people buy your merchandise? ZF: Actualy they dont, but soon with ourselfs!

What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? ZF: I think nowadays you cant look at downloading as a bad deal, 'cause almost every guy wanna hear a band on YouTube or SoundCloud, and I see no difference into downloading free stuff, Buying records nowadays is something for the bands that the guy most like, not for one he listen once a week.

How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? ZF: Its evolution, you can accpet or not, but it will be there!

What do you think of my work? ZF: Its fine! You help people to know some new bands!

How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? ZF: I really dont know hahaha, I hope its gonna be read by some guy who can be interested on supporting our job, and make more people to know our stuff!

Do you have any role models or idols? ZF: I think the only guy I can put into that way its Dimebag!

Why do you think that they exist? ZF: If you believe that the guy was a genius and a fucking good person, it can be possible! But not at the extreme way some people put their idols. 

Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? ZF: Both are inspiration for me equally.

What have been your biggest obstacles? ZF: Make it continues with having fun, 'cause its all about that! But believing that the industry of music its not a big mount of people with interest just in money its tough too!

What advice would you give other bands or artists? ZF: Make it for fun, 'cause if is not like this its just another job!

How do you get psyched for a gig? ZF: We normally warm up 20 minutes before getting on stage!

Do you have any new material? ZF: I'm editing/mixing our first full album, but there's some material on YouTube and on our website.

What are your plans for the future?  ZF: Just to make the music happen and play as musch as we can! Be on stage with the guys on the croud its the most gratefull thing for the band!
