What's your style of genre? Our style can be described as Symphonic Extreme Metal.

What inspires you? We take inspiration from everywhere at any given time. Currently we’re working on new songs that have a lot of historical references in the lyrics.
How have you developed since you started with the music? Our music started out as really primitive and simplistic but lately it’s been evolving to an expression with more extremities and complexity.
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? Yes! We are looking for assistance to bring our music up and out of Norway. We have a couple of festivals, support jobs and tours under our belts from 2014 so we feel that we are ready. Starting with europe!
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? Maybe, maybe not. Nowadays there are so many options!
What are your songs about? Our old songs have fictional themes and dwells mostly in the deranged and dark.
they can be heard in our selfproduced album «When The Dead Goes To Dance».
However, nowadays we are working on songs with bigger stories and darker themes.

Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? Sara, Markus and Marius writes the lyrics, basic structures, melodies and harmonies. But we all complete the songs together. We think it is important to have everyone’s artistic touches to the songs in order to make it as interesting as possible.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics?
Both, sometimes neither of them. It all depends!
Have you done any covers live? Yes we have performed «This Is Halloween» by Danny Elfman from the movie Nightmare before christmas directed by Tim Burton. And also «Hallowed Be Thy Name» form Iron Maiden.
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We vary as we compose new material. But there are songs that always stay put like «The Ritual Rises, Part Of This Nightmare and When The Dead Goes To Dance.
What was your latest gig? Wacken Metal Battle in Bergen (Norway) where we made it to our city finals and won! So next gig is at 30th of april in our capital Oslo where we will compete for a spot at Wacken Open Air!

Where have you played live this year?
- During the past year we went on tour in Germany as support act for Six Feet Under and Maat where we played a lot of shows. Now we’re focusing on writing new songs.
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? There will be some shows in Norway and hopefully we can get our asses back on tour because we all miss it!
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? We started to sell merch at the X-Mas in hell tour where we sold copies of «When The Dead Goes To Dance» album, butons and t-shirts!
Where can people buy your merchandise? Currently we do not have an official webshop so all orders must go to our official facebook page www.facebook.com/Cretura
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days?

There are a lot to be said about downloading music, but the fact of the matter is that it’s here to stay and the music business has to deal with it in a proactive way! However, we still buy records regurarly!
What do you think of my work? We find it impressive that you have interviewed so many bands! This shows passion and dedication!

How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? Hopefully someone will read it and find it interesting!

What advice would you give other bands or artists? Push your limits, boundaries, norms, and don’t hesitate when it comes to sharing your art and passion!
How do you get psyched for a gig? We tend to hang out with the other bands that play the same evening, chill out backstage and have a beer or three!
Do you have any new material?
Yes, a lot and we can’t wait to share it with everyone that are interested!

Kul med musiktips och intervjuer. Ett tips bara... gör mellanrum mellan varje fråga och satsa på en lättläst text :) Det kommer göra texten mer intressant.
