Have any of you played in other bands? Yes of course. We all have gathered experiences in previous bands.
How is it that you started playing music? My parents have always supported me. My father also plays guitar.
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you? Lyra´s Legacy is: Christian Casaccia (Vocals), Andreas Denz (Guitars), Fanius Farkas (Drums), Tobias Breuer (Bass), Romuald Tichawski (Keyboards). We are as old as we feel ;-)
Have you had other previous members? Yes, but this is past. Let us talk about the future.
Did you make music even when you were young? Yes, we all started early with the music. We can look back on many years.
Where are you from? We come from Germany. We all live in the Ruhr area. Home of the band is Bochum.
What year did the band form? Lyra's Legacy was founded in 2008
What's your style of genre? No simple question. We call our music a medlodious power metal. We have a lot of influences in our music.
What inspires you? Women!? J Well, Dream Theater, Kamelot, Savatage, Stratovarius, Evergrey are some big inspirations.
How often and where do you reherse? Usually one to two times a week in Bochum.
How have you developed since you started with the music? Music needs a lot of practice. So, I often sat in the apartment in fine weather and practiced.
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? Certainly. We are currently searching for concerts or getting inquiries. Of course we would be glad to get a good offer
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? We are already at Roll The Bones Records. We signed the contract this year and are very happy to release our album there in 2018.
What made you decide to make this music? We all love Metal. We all come from the same corner of this music. It just harmonized.
What are your songs about? We have no thread in our texts. Each song tells its own story.
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? Most of the time I have a basic idea and everyone is part of it. We write our songs together. Texts mostly come from Christian, as well as singing lines.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? We usually start with the music. Then come the lyrics
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? Usually I jam at home and keep good things. Then I take up the basic framework and the other members contribute their part.
Have you done any covers live? No, so far we have not covered a song. Maybe times in the future.
What language do you sing in? English
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? This is very mixed. From young to old. All Metalheads
What ages are most of your concert attendants? All kind of ages.
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We are currently playing the same set as we promote our album
Do you have a regular place you play live often? No, we would like to play regional and supregional and always find new locations. However, we always love to play at Metal for Mercy. Very good event for a good cause.
What was your first gig like? Like hell ;-)
What was your latest gig? We have performed in a club in Dortmund (Tydes) with friendly bands. It was a lot of fun.
Have you had to cancel a gig? Unfortunately, yes, but that was very few.
Where have you played live this year? This year, for example, we played Freedom Call on the Gothic Meets Rock. That was really great!
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? We will play in Gelsenkirchen on the Rise of the Underground on February. Plan in January our release party in Lünen. We will also play in the Parkhaus in Dusiburg on April.
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? We sell shirts, CDs, Poster and so on.
Where can people buy your merchandise? At our gigs. Or oreder via [email protected]
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? I'm still coming from a time when you were happy to buy a new album. A booklet to be  read, pictures looked at and then listened with headphones an album extensively. I think everyone must decide for themselves. Personally, I prefer the right albums.
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? It's like the film industry. Too many products. No courage for new things. Old is always repeated.
What do you think of my work? Always cool, when people support bands! Thanks!
What advice would you give other bands or artists? Today, a band needs to do more than just music. Graphics, videos, internet and businnes. If one wants to operate more seriously.
How do you get psyched for a gig? I usually bake quiet before a concert. I do not talk much and make myself warm.
Do you have any new material? Yes, we are working on.
What are your web sites? www.lyraslegacy.de
How can people reach you? [email protected]
What are your plans for the future? At the moment the publication of the album is at the forefront. The plan is January 2017. After that we will play as many concerts as possible.
Do you have something to add? Thanks for the interview and thanks to our loyal fans. Our album comes in January 2018. So, it remains exciting. Stay Metal! Andi
