interview with Hypervenom

Have any of you played in other bands? Yes, our drummer Guglielmo played in a Sludge/Doom band called Goliathan, they pubblished an EP in 2016.
How is it that you started playing music? We started playing music for fun, getting inspired from the bands and the music  we listened in the years.
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?
Guglielmo Allegro, 24, drummer
Pieralfonso Palumbo, 27, bassist
Anna Santoro, 22, guitarrist.
Have you had other previous members? Yes, a singer and rhytmic guitar but for personal reasons he decided to leave us.
Did you make music even when you were young? Yes, we played jam's with friends and a few cover band's, nothing serious but a lot of fun.
Where are you from? Salerno, Italy
What year did the band form? 2015
What's your style of genre? Instrumental doom/stoner/sludge
What inspires you? Sleep, Electric Wizard, Bongripper, Belzebong, Bongzilla, Monolord, Weedeater, Dopethrone...so many heavy music!!!
How often and where do you reherse? In a studio in Salerno once a week.
How have you developed since you started with the music? We have noticed that the more we play together the more we are able to compose with more fluidity and immediacy, knowing the style and the type of sound that together we can propose.
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? Yes, we are currently looking for a label for publishing our first album.
What made you decide to make this music? We love slow, heavy riffs.
Who does the composing? We compose all togheter in the studio to make sure that every single part of our songs are well structured...or we jam all togheter.
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? In the studio with relax and keep playing.
Have you done any covers live? Nope.
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? How many can the live house contain.
What ages are most of your concert attendants? All ages, anyone can listen to this music.
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? No, we continue to write new songs every day to make sure we have a different repertoire.
Do you have a regular place you play live often? No, we keep searching for new gigs in different locals.
What was your latest gig? Last gig was in Napoli at the Happy Days, we opened for Throne.
Where have you played live this year? Nowhere for now, the year is just started.
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? Napoli and Salerno, first of all, then we hope to get the opportunity to play in Rome or other cities all around Italy.
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? Unfortunately for the independent bands this is a very serious problem but the positive side is that the music continues to travel the world without barriers of any kind.
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? I dont' know.

How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? Perhaps this interview will get us more visibility and maybe a review of our record, as well as other interviews.
Do you have any role models or idols? Lemmy Kilmister, Tobias Forge, Matt Pike.
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? Both in good.
What have been your biggest obstacles? Money and time.
What advice would you give other bands or artists? Have Fun!
How do you get psyched for a gig? Just relax and breath...coffe helps.
