Interview med Captain Crimson
Vad heter erat band? Captain Crimson
Vad heter ni i bandet? Stefan Noren, Mikael Läth och Andreas Eriksson och Christoffer Davidsson
Vem spelar vad?
Vilket ställe i örebro brukar ni lira mest?
Videon gjordes då vi spelade in skivan
Dancing Madly Backwards
Varför just rock?
Leefhound, Grand Funk Railroad,BlueCheer, The GroundHogs, Dust mm.

What is the name of your band? Sexy Police.
Name of the band-members? Mr Brut, mr Lynx, mr Amore and mr Dubai. But the names keep changing.
Where did you grow up? On the rural outskirts of everything I guess, which is the case with most norwegian musicians. Where your options sometime narrow down to killing yourself in a car crash with your sixteen year old girlfriend by your side (in your mid to late twenties), or getting her knocked up and vanish in broken dreams. No, I'm kidding. Really nice places. Great for instrument practice!
How old are you? Some might claim we're way too old to still be doing this, and they might very well be right. But that is an inevitable side effect from staying satisfied with being the world's laziest band for many years, just getting together to do stuff when something tickles our fancy. And, in keeping with the spirit of juvenile stupidity, it's not something we think about, we just let our sore and rigid limbs do the talking.
Who started the band? Maniard I guess, he kept bugging everyone outside the local punk venue if they liked grindcore. I lied and said yes, so he suggested we'd start a band. He had the rest of the lineup ready, and luckily they were all god ol' boys. so we were able to make a lot of noise fairly quickly.
Where have you played 2012/2013? In 2012 we were doing what we do best, being very lazy, so we only did gigs within walking range from our rehearsal space. One at the Eat the Rich festival and one at the Lobby. Great stuff! So that makes two that year, if I haven't forgotten any we did earlier in the year, which I doubt. This year we're playing Pøbelrocken at UFFA on the 18th of may, and hopefully we'll all get some more crusty kicks before the year is over. But we'll see, as everyone is involved in a million projects right now, I guess Sexy Police is kind of like the old dog with fleas in the bunch. But old tricks die hard.
Where can people se you? Usually in the vicinity of our neighborhood, even though we have been known to appear at both greek and polish restaurants in Gothenburg and Stockholm, as well as Bumsen in Denmark and Vastavirta in Finland. And we've played at Obscene Extreme once too. Sure miss those Urquells. Generally, we're pretty much interested in traveling wherever people are willing to put up some money for travel, a place to crash, and a lot of cheap beer to hear us make a racket. We'll make sure to bring the porridge.
Do you have a web-site? I think we might still have one, but does anyone use those anymore? We have some stuff on Bandcamp... I'm pretty sure of that. We used to have a MySpace, and I guess that's still active, so knock yourself out all you MySpace buffs out there! I'm not sure if we have anything on Soundcloud. We're on Facebook, not too tr00 for that shit. And we have some crude, home made videos and rather shabby concert footage, as well as a short appearance on czech TV on YouTube. So I'm hoping we have the interwebz covered.
What is the name of your best song? Extreme Penis Worship. If not the best, at least it's the shortest. I like most of them.
Who plays what? Maniard screams into the microphone, while pSg plays the guitar really fast. Salvatore bangs the drums as fast as he can, while I try to play the bass equally fast. Unless we want to play real slow, which we sometimes do. Then we decrease the tempo.
What kind of music are you into? We all like very different stuff. Our vocalist loves Danzig, GG Allin and disco. He used to claim to love grindcore, and he may still harbor warm emotions for it, for all i know. Our drummer likes environmentally friendly, french death metal a great deal. And everything italian. Our guitarist gets all hot and bothered over shredders and fusion. We all love classic, numbskull hard rock, italian horror prog and K-beat. Some of us are quite into reg rock and street metal. A-Ha of course. I personally love every performer that should definitely not have been placed in front of a microphone in the first place, but still, somehow, miraculous were. Cool kraut, true commercial black metal and Phil Collins. Mainiard had his portrait tattooed on his leg. The list goes on, but lately we've been getting into yachtgrind. Exiting stuff, and a welcome relief from all the epic crust.
Have you been on tour this summer? With this summer, I presume you are referring to last summer. And yes, we all ventured outside of Trondheim to play, some more than others, as we didn't play outside of the aforementioned walking distance form our rehearsal space with Sexy Police. Which hardly can be called touring. But hey, the real this summer is yet to come!
Do you have a planed tour anytime soon? There have been talks over a few cold ones, but structured planning has never been one of our strongest points. But if a cushy opportunity suddenly presents itself, we are definitely ready to tag along for the ride. As long as beer and debauchery is promised. Some of us even have a GPS on their phones. That can always come in handy!
Who came up with the band name? A random band name generator on the internet. I don't know the address for it though, or if it still even exists. It came down to either Sexy Police or something incredibly silly, what it was I can't remember. Might have been something with Chernobyl.
Who writes the songs? Usually we just ask mr Lynx to play a cool guitar riff on the spot, and if it sounds ok we make a song around that. The good ones often take around fifteen minutes to make. The bad ones take way longer. And then we sometimes jam the blues. In ninety percent of the case, the lyrics are Maniard's responsibility. They largely deal with mundane nuisances and work-related aggression.
what song do you play the most? Right now, none of them! But hopefully we'll get around to rehearse real soon, and then I guess we'll have to play the lot. Except for a handful that is, they really suck, and hopefully we'll never have to play them again. Short Man Syndrome (SMS) being one of them.
Do you play the same songs each performance? No. We have a hard enough time even remembering what our songs sound like in the first place, let alone trying to remember in which order or which ones we played the last time.
Have you realesed a album or single? We made some homemade CDs and tapes from our first "proper" "release" "Unlearn How To Chant Yoga Invocations" a long time ago. I think we might have some left lying around somewhere. Our first demo "Real Norwegian Police Brutality" is pretty fucking rare. It's with our first drummer, James Blast, who we sadly lost to rockabilly, facial hair and sailor tattoos many years ago. Our last recording we just put on the internet for free. You can download that sucker! We might be hitting the studio real soon, but it will probably just be new recordings of the same, old song, only with a uglier sound. Time will show!
Are you working on any new songs?Depends if pSg pulls any cool riffs out of his hat during the next couple of rehearsals. Then, approximately fifteen minutes later, we might very well be the proud fathers of a brand new, baby song.

interview med Swashbuckle
Name of the band-members? Admiral Nobeard (Bass & Lead Vocals), Commodore RedRum (Guitar & Backing Vocals), Legendary Pirate King Eric “The” Brown (Drums)
Where did you grow up? I grew up in central New Jersey, USA, in two town names Jamesburg and Plainsboro.
How old are you? I’m 28 years old.
Who started the band? Admiral Nobeard, our early keyboardist Cabinboy Arsewhipe, and I started the band in
the summer of 2005.
Where have you played 2012/2013? We played a tour of the Eastern coast of the US in the summer of 2012, and were fortune enough to play in Puerto Rico in October of 2012.
Where can people see you? We will be doing a West Coast tour of the US in the summer of 2013.
Do you have a web-site? http://www.facebook.com/SwashbuckleBand is our main web
presence.
What is the name of your best song? We
don’t really have a “best song”. I suppose the name of our most well know song
is “Cruise Ship Terror”.
Who plays what? This is answered in the first question.
What kind of music are you into? I listen to many different kinds of music ranging from all sorts of subgenres of metal, to electronic, pop, pop/rock, rap, classical, etc. I listen to basically everything except country music.
Have you been on tour this summer? No, not yet.
Do you have a planed tour anytime soon? Yes, we plan on touring in late July/early August.
Who came up with the band name? Originally we were wanted to be named Mutiny, however when we tried to register the Myspace url address “http://www.myspace.com/mutiny” we realized it was already taken by the band that soon became Mutiny Within, who coincidentally are also from New Jersey, USA! So, Admiral Nobeard suggested the name Swashbuckle.
Who writes the songs? It is a collaborative effort by all three band members. Sometimes the Admiral will have
some killer riffs, sometimes I will. Even LPK jumps in from time to time with composition ideas/riffs, etc. Even the lyrics are done this way. Whoever writes some funny pirate related stuff first wins.
What song do you play the most? We try to change up our set list often, but usually we always have to play our drinking songs “Drink Up”, “Rounds of Rum”, “The Grog Box”. Also, “Walk The Plank”, “X Marks The Spot”, and of course “Cruise Ship Terror”.
Do you play the same songs each performance? No. Even on tour we will play different songs from city to
city. We like to keep it interesting for ourselves.
Have you realesed a album or single? We have released 3 full length albums, “Crewed by the Damned” (2006), “Back to the Noose (2009), and “Crime Always Pays…” (2010). We have released one single
which was “Cruise Ship Terror”.
Are you working on any new songs?Yes, we have almost a whole record worth of material written. It’s pretty good, if you’re into shit that kicks ass.
