Have any of you played in other bands?
Yes, of course! I think it's a really common situation. Kjiel plays with Sacrimoon, Lifeless and her personal project Angor Animi.
I play with Black Faith, Suicide Emotions, Selvans, T.S.O. The Sanitarium's Owls.

How is it that you started playing music? In Novembre 2011. It was simple: we had known each other for a long time and thanks to the past experience lived together we decided to play in the same band.

What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?
Kjiel, guitars and vocals, 31 yo
HK, drums and vocals, 28 yo

Have you had other previous members?
At the beginning there were ky and Agatunet with us, as original line-up.
After we had Grís and then Acheron.
But now we finally have a stable line-up with VRK and Spread, respectively bass and guitar player.

Did you make music even when you were young? We were not so young, but we did It also before Eyelessight, sometimes for ourselves and sometimes for the bands we had.

Where are you from? Abruzzo, Italy.

What's your style of genre? Depressive post-black metal.

What inspires you? Simply everything from our lives...despite of what can you think because of the genre of music, also good moments are perfect for our music.

How often and where do you rehearse?
We have no rules, dipend on the spare time.
If we have a gig we can rehearse 2 time per week, but sometimes we haven't for six months.
We rehearse in my home, i built a room specifically for that.

How have you developed since you started with the music? In the first two years i studied traditional drumming in a Music Academy of my city and after i started to play with the bands in my region, growing up thanks to them.

Do you have other interests of work outside the band? Food and drink service.

Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? No, we are looking for people who want to work with us, who likes our music, we don't need someone to pay just for a work...but one to share the situations we'll live with.

Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? For the moment there is a collaboration with Talheim Records and we think this was the right label to choose for us. Satisfied!

What made you decide to make this music? Nothing, we simply decide to play everything makes us feel good. 

What are your songs about? Loneliness, emptyness, self harm, love, hate...

Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? Now only Kjiel, she records the previous guitars and after we arrange everything as we feel it.

Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Doesn't matter, depend on the mood of the moment when we need to do it.

Have you done any covers live? We played "Veni Vidi Vici" from Sturmkaiser in memory of our friend. We recorded the night show and after we thought to use it as release. It's all on the tape 'IV', but it's sold out.

What language do you sing in? Only italian for the moment.

What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? As you know we play blindfolded, so...

What ages are most of your concert attendants? We don't know exactly, but biggest part we think is close to 30-35 years old

Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? In the rehearsal room sometimes we play also old stuff just for fun, but at the end everything depends on the time schedule and if we are promoting or not a release.

Do you have a regular place you play live often? Unfortunately not, we spent many times in places we know since years where we worked with the same promoters/friends, but not like often.

What was your first gig like? It was a cool night in a pub of our country, Ride'n'Roll, everyone of our small metalhead community knew it and we were opening to our friends Umbra Noctis and Blades of Sorrow.

What was your latest gig? Last show of the "Days of Madness" tour with Psychonaut 4, Deadspace and Afraid of Destiny, Viper Room in Wien, Austria.

Have you had to cancel a gig? Ahaha...first show of the "Days of Madness tour, this part with Vanhelga. Our car broke down at one hour and half from Milan and nobody could help us .

Where have you played live this year? Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, France, Belgium, Germany.

Where do you plan to gig the comming year? We are thinking to cross the ocean.

When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? We started since the first gig and with just a demo released by Parkbench Records in Australia, now we have a lot of stuff with different graphics.

What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? Of course, i don't agree. I think the streaming can be important for a lot of bands to make them known by the people around the world, but the problem is when people abuse of this.

How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? Just keeping a small part of the information present on the web about it you can have an idea of the huge change.

What do you think of my work? It's really helpfull and interesting, it helps people to know the "behind the scenes" of the artists.

How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? I don't know if this will help, i don't think so, but maybe someone was looking for the same answers.

Do you have any role models or idols? For sure i was inspired by a lot of people during the years, i know for what but i don't know by who at the moment.

Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? Older, without doubts.

What have been your biggest obstacles? My mind everytime not ready to give me the strength i needed.

What advice would you give other bands or artists? I can only suggest to the people to live their own life.

How do you get psyched for a gig? Trying to breath slowly and deeper.

Do you have any new material? We are recording the new album, maybe will be available for the spring, who can say.
