What´s the name of your band? The Lost Cosmonauts

How was the band formed? O-P who is a lead singer, guitar player and song writer in a band put add on the net.

Can you tell about your band? We play rock music with a flavour of many kind of styles.

Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band? We all live in Helsinki/Finland and we are: O-P Luomala: Vocals, guitar  K-Darth Helander: Guitar, vocals  Yuki Puhakka: Bass  Laiska Lajunen: Drums

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Just play our own songs and do some gigs

Where was your first gig? In Helsinki. Bar called Sture 21

Where was the latest gig? In Seinäjoki / Finland

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? O-P does both

Who has the best since of humor in the band? Guess Kari has.

What's good/bad with the band?/What genre do you feel you are? We know what we are doin' there is a lot of experience in the band.  Genre? Rock music

Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about? It came naturally. There is a songs about love (who doesn't) some nonsense, observations about life.

Do you write your own material or mainly covers? At first we do some covers and we still play those now and then.

Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? No.

Do you have any clips on YouTube? Yes, there is some.

How old are you?/What got you started in music? We are men in our middle-age. Music got us started in music. We all got our own path that we've been walking.

At what age did you start playing? Stoneage!

How old were you guys when you first stood on stage? No one can remeber that anymore.

What year was the band started? 2012

Best/worst gig you've played? First one was great. We realise that we play like we have been playing together for years. It was a amazing!

What places will you be playing in in the imidate future? Next we are going to play some shows with a another band called Dokumentia in a small clubs up in north.

Where have you played from then till now? In small clubs

Witch band is the best you´ve seen? Together? Acoustic jazz band last summer. Can't remember their name now but it sounds bit like Django Reinhart They were great!

Is it always the same songs live? Not always

What has been the best/most promising gig so far? Outdoor show last summer in Helsinki

Have you had any bigger tours from start to now? Nothing big. We've been in studio and there was not time to book anything bigger.

How big crowds do you usually play for? 10 to 100

What are the plans for the rest of the year? We put out new music soon on the net and new video is coming out too. Then few gigs with a Dokumentia  after that we have get some gigs for the next year

Where do you usually play? Rehersals

How do you get psyched up for a gig? There's no need for that

What are your goals with your music? To have people listen to us. Make new music. It would be also nice to have a gig outside of Finland

Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? Inspiration is easy when it comes and it could come, anywhere, anytime, anyplace but yes, it can be new stuff or older stuff.

What are your sources of inspiration? All music that has been around

What's the first step when making a new song? O-P make demos from his songs in his homestudio, then he brings them to the band and together we try to make music out of them.

What would be your dreams for the band?  That we can still enjoy what we are doing.

Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? So many. We don't wanna make any list. It would be sooo long.

What do you hold most dear? As a band we don't have one dear. Let's say Juri Gagarin

What would be your greatest fears for the future? We got our arms broke

When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? It's so much fun these days. Fear is... useless.

Have you been part of any other projects? We all have other projects and bands too. Yuki's other band is called Strong and Kari's is in the band called Pinky Trills and Laiska is wery busy these days he plays drums for the Eläkeläiset and Kelpo Pojat  O-P plays here and there sometimes. Mainly he do The Lost Cosmonauts

What do you work with outside of the band and the music? We all have day jobs

What would you do if there was no music? Who knows

How important are your fans? Both of them are very important to us.

What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? When they start dancing

How often do you rehearse? In periods

Where do you rehearse? In Vantaa

What do you feel is the best live band you've seen? Musculus

What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? It makes you happy. That's something that money can't buy.

Any pearls of wisdom for all other bands out there? No wisdom. Only pearls.

Describe your show, visually and musically Cool, rocking, soulfull, fun.

How do you view the musicindurty of today? It's like old days when there was only single records, like early 50's Same thing now. People buy songs more than albums. Sadly.

What advice would you like to give other bands? Do what you really wanna do, i mean really, and then hope, that people would like it too.

What are the biggest obstacles for a band? Really don't know

What is best/worst with playing the clubs? Better sound. People are closer to you.

Tell us about upcomming gigs and why we should be at them? Again ? In december we are backing up Dokumentia at their promoting tour for their upcoming album.

How would you describe your sound in one sentence? Warm

What is your favorite crappy instrument? Mandolin

What was one of the most quarrelsome times for you in the band? There are some but nothing very serious

Whats your Pre-show ritual? We all do different things.
