What´s the name of your band? Our band is Menstrual Blood !

How was the band formed? At the beginning, it was a bad rehearsal with our last band. So we decide to do some grind shits for fun.

Can you tell about your band? For the moment, we just record some songs that we broadcast on internet (youtube and facebook). 

It's just for us and our friends, to make them laugh and piss in their pants ! 

Maybe we will play gigs later if people enjoy our music, but we're not thinking about it for the moment

Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band? We're from France ! We are 2 in the band (and three with our virtual drummer Kyle, the best drummer we found) Gilles, who plays the bass and the guitars, and Franck, who sings like an angel... a sick angel.

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? We wanted to use some funny samples of weirds videos (porn, gore, gore porn, and funny movies),and to play different kind of music that we can't play with our other bands

Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? Well, imagine you're strangulating a pig while your fucking it by the ass at the same moment when you're also watching a bad porn movie.

That's the spirit of the band

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? Gilles and Franck write the songs, Kyle the drummer can't do that so badly

Who has the best since of humor in the band? Well, if we formed the band, it was because we always do bad jokes, and this band was a way to express that

What's good/bad with the band?/What genre do you feel you are? The good thing is that we're only two in the band, so we can write songs very fast. The bad things is that we're only two in the band so we can't write a song that exceed 2 minutes and we can't play gigs yet.

We thought that we're playing a kind of funny grind, but we're also fan of Thrash/Death metal, maybe there will be some riff inspired by these styles in our future songs.

Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about?

We pick that style, because it was the funnier !

Our songs are just a bunch of insults and dirty words. 

Do you write your own material or mainly covers? All of our songs are our own songs ! Maybe we will cover some shitty pop songs for the fun (and because Kyle loves it)

Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? Not for the moment, but we will make an EP soon, so stay tuned !

How old are you?/What got you started in music? Gilles 20, Franck 23 and Kyle is very old but we don't exactly know how old he is.We wanted to play in a band because it's the easiest way to fuck chicks, but this don't concern grindcore bands, infortunately...

And because we are fans of metal music of course

At what age did you start playing?

Gilles starts playing at the age of 14

Franck at the age of 21

and Kyle since he's born

How old were you guys when you first stood on stage?

Gilles was 15 at his first gig !

Franck was 21.

And Kyle never played on stage because he is shy (and virtual)

What are the plans for the rest of the year? We will continue to share songs with facebook and youtube, and we will try to record an EP that exceed 15 minutes

What are your goals with your music? We try to make people laugh and bang their heads.

Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? We listen to olds and moderns stuff, so we try to get inspired by both

What are your sources of inspiration? Weird youtube videos, bads movies, porn movies

What's the first step when making a new song? We first find THE riff and funny samples

How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? We don't care, we prefer buy CDs but our music is free so take it !

What would be your dreams for the band?  Play at the Obscene Extreme Festival !

Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? We listen all kind of heavy and extreme stuff, and rap sometime

Have you been in any other bands? We both played in a band called Dead Potatoes, it was a stoner band. Gilles now plays in Oulambator, it's an other stoner project

What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? Our logo! Some friends are already asking for Menstrual Blood merch ! Really ?!

How often do you rehearse? When we can we rehearse 2/3 times by week

Where do you rehearse? In Gilles's flat

Name 2 of your own songs you like at the moment? "Penche toi et tousse" and "Je peux rien contre la faim dans le monde mais par contre je peux te péter le cul"

What advice would you like to give other bands? Have fun and drink till you puke !

What are the biggest obstacles for a band? A member who lost his motivation

How would you describe your sound in one sentence Fat and dirty.

What is your favorite crappy instrument? the kazoo !
