What´s the name of your band? Bestial Inavasion
How was the band formed? 2014
Can you tell about your band? So, get acquainted: BESTIAL INVASION is a new group of the ex-bass player of VIOLENT OMEN - real old school technical thrash metal in keeping with the best traditions of MEKONG DELTA, ATHEIST, CORONER. The microphone stand is possessed by the charming Anastasia, whose voice reminds Dawn Crosby (FEAR OF GOD) or Melanie Bock (MEGACE), and it distinguishes her in favorable manner from sterile ARCH ENEMY copies, which flooded the scene recently.
Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band?
Unknown Nastya - vocals, lyrics, concept
Metal Priest - bass, managment
Evgeniy Maestro - guitars
Ivan Semenchuck - drums
Dmitry Chugay - guitars
What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Well, our dream was to play and enjoy every moment of it, of course we would wanna see the world during tours, share stage with our metal gods, but, let’s be honest, the probability very small. But still, we hope for best!
Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? Badass technical oldschool stuff!
Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? Nastya is the author of the lyrics. The inspiration comes from both her own experience and perception of the world, literature, art, history. Each song tells a different story. Silent Wonders, for example, is a reflection of the character’s inner worldview, scraps of questions and anguish, uncertainty of being. The main topics are intelligence, loneliness, self-improvement etc.
Who has the best since of humor in the band? That's me hah. Seriously.
Why did you pick that particular style? We are all big fans of such music and there are not so many bands playing simular songs.
Do you write your own material or mainly covers? Own material for sure, we have couple of covers, but still its 90/10.
Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? We are working on the material now. For this time we have 2 singles and 1 cover.
Do you have any clips on YouTube? Not yet, but we are working on it;)
How old are you?/What got you started in music? I'm 25, I started to play when I was 18.
What places will you be playing in in the imidate future? We have 3 big festivals coming soon.
Where have you played from then till now? Couple of ukrainian cities and Moscow.
Witch band is the best you? ve seen? Coroner, Artillery, Morgoth.
What are the plans for the rest of the year? We are planning to record our first album, we’re so excited about the whole thing and we are really enjoying the process, it’s gonna be incredible! Also, we have some gigs coming up, festivals and stuff. We are working really hard now, you know, it’s not easy to start the band from nothing, but we hope that our plans will come true.
Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? I dont listen to modern bands that much, long live oldschool!
What are your sources of inspiration? Speaking about music, - Atheist, Dark Angel, Destruction, Watchtower.
What's the first step when making a new song? Spontaneous idea which comes to me and after that we are discussing it.
How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? I have huge collection of CDs, LPs, tapes, surely buying albums, it's the best way to support the band.
Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? Heavy, old school death, black metal
What would be your greatest fears for the future? Worth nothing.
When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? Calm audience.
Have you been part of any other projects? My ex band Violent Omen, thats all.
What would you do if there was no music? I would be specialist in 3th Reich
How important are your fans? Very important, as for evry band.
What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? When my ex band turned 5 years, our fan backed a cake for us in shape of turtles ninja, I'm very fond of them.
