What´s the name of your band? Ash Code
How was the band formed?
The band is made up of 2 twin brothers Adriano & Alessandro and Claudia. We love the music and playing , it was all natural.
Can you tell about your band?
Basically it’s like a family
Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band?
We are from Naples. The tracks are set by Claudia and Alessandro, we are primarily concerned with the beats, synths and vocals. In a second step Adriano puts the melody lines or bass on his Fender VI
What was the ambitions of the band when you started?
We wanted to write nice songs and to play around Europe.
Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you?
Our music is electronic , with deep roots in the wave and synthpop 80s
Who writes your songs?/ who writes the music who writes lyrics?
Claudia and Alessandro
Who has the best since of humor in the band?
Without any doubt Adriano
Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about?
It’s natural for us to play this kind of music because it’s the music that we always listened to, that more and better communicate our moods.
Do you write your own material or mainly covers?
Mainly we write our own pieces but we have recorded a cover, “I can’t escape myself “ by the Sound
Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they?
Our first album was released last week , it’s called ‘Oblivion’
Do you have any clips on YouTube?
Yes we have, there are our first 2 videos , ‘Dry Your Eyes’ and ‘Empty Room’, this one filmed in Berlin
At what age did you start playing?
Claudia started playing the piano at 5 years with her grandmother, who was a teacher . She played up to 12 years, then she gave it up , but fortunately the basics have remained. Adriano& Alessandro play since they were 11.
What year was the band started?
The band started last january 2014
Witch band is the best you´ve seen?
I can’t say the best one, but I can tell a band that we really like and inspires us a lot, this is Cold Cave, this year we saw them 2 times.
What has been the best/most promising gig so far?
Maybe in Freiburg last week.
How big crowds do you usually play for?
Usually we play in small club for 100/150 people
What are the plans for the rest of the year?
We plan to play live until the end of the year to promote our debut album, then at the beginning of 2015 there will be a new single release.
Where do you usually play?
We have all the equipment in a room at home, a small studio where all the songs born
What are your goals with your music?
Playing live as much as possible
What are your sources of inspiration?
For the music we take inspiration from books, movies or other music, for the melodies any sound occasionally listened. For the lyrics we write about everyday life , and feelings we want to communicate.
What's the first step when making a new song?
The first step is definitely the groove, bass arpeggiators and beats
How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums?
We think that the most important thing is spreading our tunes. Then who really loves music and wants to support it, buys it giving us a big support.
Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to?
We listen to the post- punk and new wave . The dark music in its various facets: Cold Cave, then New Order , Nine Inch Nails, Dead Can Dance , Bauhaus, Kraftwerk, Chromatics, The Soft Moon and our friends Schonwald, She Past Away, Minuit Machine, Veil Of Light
What would you do if there was no music?
Alessandro and Adriano have other regular jobs , Claudia has a degree in philosophy and probably she will starts to do something soon.
How important are your fans? Very much. We are very grateful to our supporters. It wouldn’t have a sense recording music without them.
What's the most memorable thing a fan has done for you? One of our first supporters(the polish artist Sandra Roczen) gave us the beautiful pictures that we used as the cover of our album.

Describe your show, visually and musically Musically is a powerful electronic show where is impossible not move. Visually we worked a lot to include projections and lights in sync with music, laser lights and fogmachine. We feel at home in a stage like this.
How would you describe your sound in one sentence Danceable and melancholy
What was one of the most quarrelsome times for you in the band? When it was necessary to choose the first song to be put in streaming. We are 3 different people and we have different musical tastes
