How was the band formed? The band was formed out of a school band back in the 80s
Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band? The singer came from Greece (lives in Germany) the others all from Germany. Axel/Guitar Efthi/Vocals Andreas/Guitar Patrick/Drums Jonathan/Bass
What was the ambitions of the band when you started?
Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? Scanner plays Power Metal

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? The most Axel Julius,but also the whole Band
Do you write your own material or mainly covers? Only own Songs
Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? Hypertrace Terminal Earth Mental Reservations Ball of the Damned Scantropolis The Judgement

How old are you?/What got you started in music? I´m (Andreas) are 46 and play since 28 years Guitar

What year was the band started? 1985 as "Lions Breed" and then came the new name Scanner in 1986

What are the plans for the rest of the year? Practise for new gigs

What are your goals with your music? To play for fantastic fans
What's the first step when making a new song? Most a riff
How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? It´s ok
What would be your dreams for the band? To play many gigs around the world
Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? Almost Heavy Metal and Rock
When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? A blackout

What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? The passion to the Music and the fans by every gig

Describe your show, visually and musically We plan new things in our show with special clothes and a cool outfit for the stage and a lot of songs from every station of our career
What are the biggest obstacles for a band? A personal problem
What is best/worst with playing the clubs? Best is to see the fans and worst is to less fans
Tell us about upcomming gigs and why we should be at them? We play next in Bochum (Germany), Greece and Spain. You should be there because SCANNER is playing!!!
