interview with Zarbsong

What´s the name of your band? Zarbsong
How was the band formed? I am a solo artist (other group projects are planned).
Can you tell about your band? What about... a style and a unique world influenced by an underground culture, the desire to create, to find new sounds to experiment new things... just an artist!
Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band? I'm alone so I do everything and this brings me a precious freedom in creativity.
What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Do what it pleases me, create, not asking any question. In any case, certainly not values as futile as fame or money.
Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you?
Sometimes calm, sometimes violent, always original, always strange...Experimental electronic music with varied influences (dub, drum n bass, jungle and others)
Where was your first gig? In a small bar organizing some musical evenings.
Where was the latest gig? In a festival in front of a unbridled public, good evening, good memory.
Who writes your songs? I create all my music in my home studio.
Why did you pick that particular style?
This is what I love doing. With this style, it is possible to explore many new horizon,it's always changing, it is changing all the time, it's very creative.
Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? yes, three self-produced albums in 2010, only in digital format, available for download (free) on my website http://www.zarbsong-music.com.other albums (always self-produced) are planned and come out in the future and will be available on CD or vinyl
Do you have any clips on YouTube? yes, on my channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/zarbsong
Best/worst gig you've played? The worst thing is the times I had problems with the security services (some idiot sometimes). The best, the last as it was a great event and the audience was numerous and cheerful, a great time!
What places will you be playing in in the imidate future? All Over! I study any proposal! If it's cool, if I like it, it's ok!
Where have you played from then till now?
Everywhere, all sorts of places and events (bars, concert halls, festivals and other)
Is it always the same songs live? No, it is rare, there are always new things and a part of improvisation.
When did you decide to go all in for the music?
I went to many concert and festival, I like it! Then I started looking at the instrument is subsequently discovered home studio and obviously electronic music (composition/production),I started to create song and then, things are done well ...
Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? There are some very good things in the old bands and modern bands. in both cases if I like it, no problem.
What are your sources of inspiration? So many things ... hard to say in a few online ... probably a bit of all these things, this tangle of details that together made the world what it is.
How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? it takes up less space :)) seriously, I think it is normal that things are changing, but as with any change there is good and bad,if it allows the artists to be independent is very well and it helps the development of alternative cultures.
What would be your dreams for the band? of course still continue to evolve and the creation of an autonomous and self-managed cultural venue.
Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? many different things: dub, drum'n bass, trip hop, downtempos, experimental, some jazz stuff, jungle, sometimes breakcore, punkrock, reggae, ska, some dubstep stuff, and many other things, there's so much
What do you hold most dear? freedom
What would be your greatest fears for the future? the loss of our rights and our freedom
When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? technical problems or equipment
What would you do if there was no music? a world without music would be boring, in a world without music, I invent music!

Describe your show, visually and musically strange, psychedelic, mesmerizing and very rhythmic
What advice would you like to give other bands? not doubt but remain modest, humble, it is important
What are the biggest obstacles for a band? time, money and equipment
