interview with Between Burning Circles
Have any of you played in other bands?
(Silent) Yeah, i always played in extreme metal bands i played guitar and singed or both , in a band called seraphel during 7 years of my life, i played in about 10/12 bands during my career.
(Came, Betto, Fabio) We had a band called Heaven’s Titans , in which we made covers and we composed some music such as “Last Breath” that has been improved with the birth of BBC.
(Tugno) I was the drummer of the Market behind the corner but after a while i left the band and started playng the bass on the Invein because of a knee injury
How is it that you started playing music? I started to play guitar when iwas 13 years old

Have you had other previous members? Yes we had a bassit but he did not have enough time for the band.
Did you make music even when you were young? Yes my first song was composed when i 'd 14 years old and also the other members of the band started playing when they were teenagers.
Where are you from? (Silent) I'm from a small town called Cesena and the rest of the band is from Bologna.
What year did the band form? The project is born in 2014
What's your style of genre? Metalcore/Melodic deathcore
What inspires you? Everything ,problems of the life, loves lost etc...
How often and where do you reherse? So ...it depends...about 1 time a week but when we've a concert also 2/3 times a week...
How have you developed since you started with the music? Enourmus developement but i think i’ll never stop learning from music and musicians
Do you have other interests of work outside the band?
(Silent) Of course, i like so much my job ( i'm a professional body piercer)
(Came) I work as an electrician but i’m most interested in the band and in music
(Tugno) Me too
(Betto) I’m attending a course to became a sound expert
(Fabio) I work in a farm in ordert to earn some money to buy a good instrumenation
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? To Find a booking to work well and strong for us, but it's very hard to find it...all of them are only looking for money ,it's all almost pay for play a very disgusting bug of new millenium...
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? To Find a label to work well and strong for us, but it's very hard to find it...all of them are only looking for money it's all almost pay for play a very disgusting bug of new millenium...
What made you decide to make this music?
(Silent) I always loved genres like Nu metal and metalcore for their extreme contrasts of extreme music (double kick fills, down.tuned stunning guitars ) and melody, just in this band i practise all i learned in this years like musician the ethereal and decadent melodies learned in a gothic/doom band called Mercury Eye (guitarist and composer) and my past into the synphonic black metal band Serahel.
(Came) I decided to make this music in order to give a strong message to all the ones who are listening us .
What are your songs about? Passion,hate, malincony ,Loss etc....
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? All the band give an input but I always do the vocal lines to give my mark on the text, the melody is most written by the guitarists.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? We always start to compose with the music and Silent creates a vocal line on the music .
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? (Silent) It depends...In my home extreme songs because closed ambient makes me claustrophobic but melodic riffs i composed on the “Betto home”
Have you done any covers live? Of course...but i don't like to play covers i think covers are for fail musicians...
What language do you sing in? American English
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? Teenagers and metalheads nda
What ages are most of your concert attendants? About from 18 to 30 years old guys
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? Now we play the same songs of our debut Ep “Lost not forgotten”
Do you have a regular place you play live often?
Not yet...
What was your first gig like? In a foggy place in the middle of Ferrara's contry called Massa Fiscaglia, handful of nasty Bikers...pretty... 0.0
What was your latest gig? In a local called Caos Rock Club in Bologna
Have you had to cancel a gig? No becouse it's very diffcult to find a gig for our genere here in italy..
Where have you played live this year? In Italy
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? We hope to begin to touring across the worls my dream it's to play in the US possibly in California.
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? Actually we sell only our EP but we're working to plan a brand new merch.
Where can people buy your merchandise? At our Concerts.
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? Although 'more comfortable as I would prefer a time when you bought the CD at face value without knowing how it was a certain band and now' more comfortable but this being ruined music business, now people do not buy more CDs and consequently the record companies not earning enough not to make more contracts decent bands
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? Download music changed and ruined music business because now labels don't gain and don't do good contracts to the bands.
What do you think of my work? I think it's very important one of the last chance to know the self band to the world.

Do you have any role models or idols? Sure, i've many Idols
Why do you think that they exist? Some for da biz' and others coz really creed in their music...
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? Older bands, it's really hard to swallow but my opinion it's the new bands are a copy/ ruined paste of older bands
What have been your biggest obstacles?
(Silent) My Father, the money, and the jobs permiss

What advice would you give other bands or artists? Follow your heart and follow your dreams, make YOUR music , all your wannabe's fuck off, don't become the copy of another artist .
How do you get psyched for a gig? (Silent) I pull out all the anger and tension and i scream in that fuckin mic !

What are your plans for the future? Yes ,we 're working new material for a new album and we're looking for a good Label and Booking agency, we love travelling and go on tour
