Have any of you played in other bands? Yes, of course. Chinaski, played in "The Borderliners" and Grilli has another project called "Dirt Deflector". Heavy shit.
How is it that you started playing music? Started? Chinaski is doing "The Devil's Rejects" for over 10 years now. So, we are doing this for a little while ;-)
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?
Grue Chinaski (somwhere near 30) founding member and lead vocals
Grilli (mid 20ies)- guitar, backing vox
Koi (20)- Drums
Olli (mid 20ies)- Bass, backing vox
Have you had other previous members? Huh. Over the years members come and go. Grue is the last one left from the very beginning.
Did you make music even when you were young? Much too old too die young.
Where are you from? We are from or around the "steelcity"linz in austria. Steelworks, indusrty-harbor. Nice city for vacation!
What year did the band form? Huh, another good question. I think in 2006 the band had it's first gig. But back in the days it was more rock'n'roll based with an extra portion of blues.
What's your style of genre? Describing the music or lableing it by a genre is quite difficult. The best way is and always will be to listen to this shit. But if you like some heavy punk rock tunes, then you might have fun with our music.
What inspires you? The complex questions out there, like WHAT THE FUCK?
How often and where do you reherse? How often our wage-slave schedule allows it.
How have you developed since you started with the music? From some rock'n' roll shit to more of.... ah, listen to it and you will find out :-)
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? Skateboarding. Oh, an not dying I guess.
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? Contact us!
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? Same here. We've done our stuff D.I.Y. and we are planning to continue this, if no label will take care of us. We are somehow driven to create new music, no matter what. But hey, if sombody out there want to work with us -> Give us a call!
What made you decide to make this music? Do you have to decide? When you have to, because it must break out of you... there is no decision. It has to be done.
What are your songs about? Dancing on the borderline...
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? The band does most of the composing together and CHinaski is writing the lyrics.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Depends.
What language do you sing in? I guess it is called english. But with our bad language, and all the mistakes in there... maybe it is some kind of english. Steelcity slang ;-)
Do you have a regular place you play live often? The steelcity area.
Do you have any new material? Our latest album "NUKE US GOOD" is out since last year, and we are currently working on new material.
