interview with DOMIGOR

Have any of you played in other bands?
Matt Odom, Domigor founder and Guitarist, served as Session Lead Guitarist in July, 2015 for Tampa band, Diabolic. He also toured the USA twice as Bassist for Quinta Essentia. From 2000-2006, Matt played Guitar for Convergence From Within. 
Bassist Tim Parlier has played Bass for Stentoria and Hall of the Two Truths.
How is it that you started playing music? Listened to Slayer - Show No Mercy
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?

Have you had other previous members? No
Did you make music even when you were young? Mostly played cover songs in the early years such as early Metallica, Death, Slayer, Possessed, etc.
Where are you from? Alabama, USA
What year did the band form? 2015
What's your style of genre? Old-School Death Metal with an updated twist.
What inspires you? The Fans that love Metal like we do.
How often and where do you rehearse? We rehearse once a week for now at a climate controlled practice space.
How have you developed since you started with the music? Riffs come and go during the creation process, until we are all happy with the results. Writing together as a band is limitless.
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? We both have jobs outside of the band.
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? None at present, mainly because in past bands, our tour was set up by ourselves and help from our record label. We shall see.
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? Have had both good and bad experiences with labels. Maybe the right opportunity will present itself.
What made you decide to make this music? Speed, Violence, Gore
What are your songs about? Our songs are about actual events that happened in the past.
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? We all contribute riffs, lyrics, beats, etc. We want our songs to be multi-diminsional.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Music
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? We write at home, then present our riffs to one another at our practice space.
Have you done any covers live? We plan on having a few covers in our arsonal of songs, for mostly local gigs.
What language do you sing in? English
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? Domigor have not played live yet, but plan to in 2016. Guitarist Matt has played several fests in previous bands, such as Milwaukee Metalfest, CIM and more. 800+ in attendance.
What ages are most of your concert attendants? 19-99 haha
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? Once we have more material we will indeed substitute songs into our live setlist.
Do you have a regular place you play live often? No
Where do you plan to gig the coming year? Any places that we can. We hope to play some bigger Festivals around the US and possibly abroad.
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? No merch yet but soon we will have t-shirts, stickers, etc.
Where can people buy your merchandise? We will have merch available through bigcartel.com, directly from the band and at our live gigs.
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? Not good. Everyone should support the bands by buying the music. We work hard making those songs.
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? Many suffer from people downloading illegally, True supporters of underground Metal understand this and purchase without question.
What do you think of my work? Awesome! Thank you for your support of the underground! Always informative and entertaining.
How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? The more people that know about our band the better. We want to reach as many fans of Death Metal as possible. We appreciate this opportunity.
Do you have any role models or idols? Chuck Schuldiner among many others, past and present.
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? Mostly older bands but we do find much inspiration from current bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Autopsy, Gorguts, etc. These bands still hold the torch high.
What have been your biggest obstacles? Finding band mates in our area.
What advice would you give other bands or artists? Never give up following your dreams, work hard and be thankful to your fanbase.
How do you get psyched for a gig? Listen to Metal! It's also fun promoting gigs. Every opportunity we get to play is very exciting, for us.
Do you have any new material? We have the material nearing completion for our debut album.
