interview with The Adamant

Have any of you played in other bands? Yes, we have, all of us played in other bands.
How is it that you started playing music? My  grandfather played the mandolin, balalaika, farther played the guitar, uncle played the guitar. When I was 12 years old I played the trampet. In two year later I heard for the first time the Beatles. It was starting point to get carried away with the rock'n'roll , rock music and later jazz.
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?
Drums- Michael Rassadnikov, 62 years old
Bass guitar - Alexandr Gelis - vocal, vocals., 63 years old
Lead guitar- Sergey Ivanov - vocal, vocals., 59 years old
Strum guitar- Michael Unukovsky- vocal, vocals, 61 years old.
Have you had other previous members? No, we have not had
Did you make music even when you were young?
Yes we did since 15-16 years old.
The Drummer and bass guitarist played together when there were young.
When I was 16  years old I played in my school band.
Where are you from?
We come from Russian Federation.
Currently we live in Svetogorsk , it is a town located on the Russian-Finnish border.
5 km to the Finnish town of Imatra.
What year did the band form? We formed our band in 2013.
What's your style of genre? Mainly we play rock'n'roll, classic rock.
What inspires you? We have been inspired first of all by the Beatles and other great bands like the Deep Purple, Pink Floyd etc.
Do you have other interests of work outside the band?
As to me I like cookery
Actually now all of us are so - called "young'' retired people and plenty of time is dedicated by us to the music
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? It would be good to have a booking agency but until now we have not.
What are your songs about? Our own songs about love, friendship, etc.
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? Mainly, Michael Unukovsky -composing and lyrics also Alexandr Gelis
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Sometimes music, sometimes lyrics it is unpredictable.
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? Mainly at home.
Have you done any covers live? Yes, we have, mostly we a cover band, we play live only. 
What language do you sing in? We sing in English and Russian
What ages are most of your concert attendants? Teens , 30-40 years old as well as older generation.
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We play and sing live only, no other way, only live show.
Do you have a regular place you play live often? Our drummer has his own dancing hall where we play, also we are often invited to play in pubs, and other places in Vyborg  and St-Petersburg.
What was your first gig like?
Our first gig was at the local Rock festival in 2013
We were accepted successfully.
What was your latest gig? Latest gig was at last week end.
Have you had to cancel a gig? Until now, we have not
Where have you played live this year? Everywhere we play live only
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? In Vyborg, Sankt-Peresburg, Svetogorsk.
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale?
We sell our live gigs.
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days?
Downloading is a sign of the new age, new technologies , very difficult to ban it.
But anyway people more and more now wants to listen to the live music.
Vinyl Records are purchased mainly like a souvenirs. 
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? Music industry have changed globally, in my opinion it is in big crisis now.
What do you think of my work? I think your work is really important and useful both musicians and listeners.
How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? I do not think about that. I am happy that could share my thoughts and someone Lille you got interested in us. 
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? We are inspired by older bands, but among modern ones also there are interesting musicians 
What have been your biggest obstacles? Insecurity and fear of a microphone
What advice would you give other bands or artists? Never ever give up
How do you get psyched for a gig? We do not need to be psyched, every gig for us is a happiness itself we take it as a God's present
What are your web sites? Presently we have not our website but it is coming
How can people reach you? First of all by Face book and advertising where we give contact data. 
What are your plans for the future? To continue , to make records
Do you have something to add? The rock music and gigs prolong our life
