interview with Stuck on Planet Earth

Have any of you played in other bands? Yes, when we were younger in high school we played in local bands...
How is it that you started playing music? we all grew up listening to grunge rock and punk rock and thought we'd try our hand at picking up some instruments..and the rest is history
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?
Adam Bianchi - guitar and vocals
Al Capo - bass and vocals
Andrew Testa - Drums
Have you had other previous members? nope
Did you make music even when you were young? yes we grew up playing punk rock and have been making music since we were about 12-13
Where are you from? Vaughan, Ontario, Canada about 30 minutes north of Toronto
What year did the band form? 2007
What's your style of genre? Alternative, indie rock, 
What inspires you? I think each of us have different inspirations, whether its visual art, old music or brand new music..we all love rock and roll and we love RnB music 
How often and where do you reherse? usually 2-3 times a week, depending on how busy we are playing shows or recording! We rehearse at a place called Decibel House. 
How have you developed since you started with the music? we have matured over the years as young boys into men, so naturally our music has shifted into a more mature sound
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? we are italian so we like soccer, eating pizza, playing hockey, watching concerts 
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? we are a completely DIY band, and have been lucky enough to work with some cool boutique booking agencies around north america, and were always looking for people who want to be apart of our team
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? we have a small deal with a record label in Japan called Donuts Pop Records, if the right partner comes along in North America / Europe we'd love to work with them..
What made you decide to make this music? wanting to connect with people, wanting to tell our stories and hopefully incite emotions that strike a chord with people (no pun intended) ..after all were all stuck here together
What are your songs about? love, lust, loss
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? we all do 
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? it really goes both ways - sometime lyrics inspire a song and the other way around
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? usually in a comfortable environment where its quiet and easy to digest thoughts
Have you done any covers live? oooo yes over the years - can't stand losing you by the police and Pony by Genuwine are probably our most popular ones
What language do you sing in? English although we would love to try singing in Italian 
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? bartender 
What ages are most of your concert attendants? between 15-35
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? we try to keep it fresh
Do you have a regular place you play live often? Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, London, Kitchener, Guelph
What was your first gig like? awful...adam said ''FUCK'' in front of some priests at a high school show 
What was your latest gig? Toronto opening for Palaye Royal
Have you had to cancel a gig? Once our van had issues in Florida and we couldn't make the show...so we chilled on the beach and drank all day..wasnt a bad day at all 
Where have you played live this year? all across north america
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? hopefully sweden!
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? oooo as long as we've been a band we've always sold merchandise - shirts, cds, cassettes, vinyl, zines, wrist bands

What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? streaming and downloading is just the reality of the business these days, we can't fight that..we want as many ppl to have our music as possible and if they are gonna get it streaming or downloading then its just a think you need to accept as an artist in 2017
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? less people buying physical music, less record sales...it is what it is 
What do you think of my work? wish we could understand Swedish! But we love Sweden and Mats Sundin! Greatest hockey captain for the Toronto Maple Leafs
How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? your passionate about your work, people will read your blog and discover us! Thats awesome to us, were from Canada so the fact that someone cares about us in Sweden is humbling and fucking badass
Do you have any role models or idols? our families play a big role in our lives
Why do you think that they exist? to pass down wisdom
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? a bit of both, love finding old artists / bands that you never knew existed and who have been doing cool things since way before we were born...that always amazes us 
What have been your biggest obstacles? working a million different jobs to keep playing music 
What advice would you give other bands or artists? you need to have passion, love and determination ..without these things you will never got to soar to new heights...music is very subjective and what may be cool to you may not be to the person beside you
How do you get psyched for a gig? have a shot of tequila or whiskey, and a beer...gets you feeling pretty loose
Do you have any new material? yes a whole new album of material that is currently being mixed
