interview with ROCKY HORROR F. S.

Have any of you played in other bands? We all come from different experiences and genres, but I think it’s the union of these differences that creates ROCKY HORROR sound.

How did you start to play music? The guitarist and me have known each other at school, and from there everything was born.

What are your names? Who plays what? I am Justice, the singer. Then there's The Racio on guitar, Baron F. on bass and Joey on drums.

Did you make music even when you were young? We are still young!

Where are you from? Foggia. Southern Italy.

When was the band created? In 2002. This is our 15th year of activity!

What's your genre? Rock with Rap influences, etc..

What is inspirational for you? Daily life and its happenings, the people we meet in our trips...

Do you have other work commitments apart from the band? Music has become our job... luckily!

Are you looking for a booking agency? What are your thoughts about that? We already have a booking agency (PROJECT AREA), which handled our last tour and we were very happy with them.

Are you looking for a label? What are your thoughts about that? Now our label is the PROTOSOUND RECORDS, which produced our latest album SCIOGLI IL TEMPO (distributed by EDEL), full of great collaborations... and we worked very well with them!

What brought you to decide for this type of music? The desire to be able to express ourselves without limitations.

What are your songs about? Social issues, life lived, we don’t have any limits.

Who composes and writes the lyrics? I deal with the lyrics, Racio with the music, and then we arrange together.

Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Usually with the music.

What language do you sing in? Italian!

What’s the minimum and maximum number of people attending one of your concerts? From about 100 to 400, it depends on whether we play alone or with the side project PINO SCOTTO & ROCKY HORROR (with whom we also signed the charity track VIA DI QUA, together with many other important guests).

How old is most of your audience? More or less between 17 and 50 years.

Do you always play the same songs in your live shows, or do you often change? The whole show has a planned playlist, but we sometimes change it according to the needs.

How was your first concert? I still remember it with pleasure, it was in 2002 in Foggia, in a jam Hip Hop.

Which was your last concert? About a month ago, always in Foggia, at the opening of DENNIS STRATTON concert (ex IRON MAIDEN).

Where have you played live this year? We did a tour with several dates, mostly in Italy.

Where can people buy your merchandise? Just visit the shop section of our official website: www.rhfs.it.

What do you think about my job? I feel your great passion for what you do, you believe in it. Congratulations!

Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or from bands more active today? Legendary bands teach you the basics, modern ones can help you refine your style.

What were your biggest obstacles? To stay on course! Doing this job requires great dedication, willpower and discipline.

What advice would you give to other bands or artists? Believe in yourself and never give up!

Do you have any new material? We are currently promoting NON C’È TEMPO, our latest single/video.

What are your plans for the future? Our new single and video will be released soon, followed by the new album and its tour.

Have you got something to add? Greetings to all your readers!
