How is it that you started playing music? Midgard exist only a 1 year as a band. I start learning piano from childhood, and guitar from 16. Then I started to master sound recording programs and other stuff

Have you had other previous members?
Dmitry Clubow - vocals. participated as a session musician in Midgard for 3 months  (https://youtu.be/oaxB6btsujE)
Did you make music even when you were young? Yes I left the links above

Where are you from? I live in Kanev. Cherkasy region. Ukraine. But other guys live in Cherkasy, where we have rehearsals.

What year did the band form? Originally Midgard was planned as a studio  project in 2016 and it did not have a clear stylistic framework. Like this song for example (https://youtu.be/RaKQzFSjn4Q) but then I realized that the theme of fantasy and folkmetal is closer to me. and I decided to make it in one thematic style

What's your style of genre?
Now I think that it can be characterized as : Folk Metal, Fantasy Metal, Viking Metal. Melodic-Death-Thrash-Metal-Art.
but the new album I'm currently working on will be more epic. and I would say that the style will be a bit different. More atmospheric, diverse and easier to perceive
What inspires you? Lot of things: fantasy books, movies and games in the genre of RPG. of course the other band as the Ensiferum, Withersun, Equilibrium, Dark Tranquillity, Amorphis, old In Flames, At The Gates, Before The Dawn, Eluveitie and other great bands.
How often and where do you reherse? I spend almost every day at the studio. With the band we have 1-2 rehearsals per week. But all rehearse their parts independently also.
How have you developed since you started with the music? recently we started to be invited to different concerts and of cours we became more experienced in terms of live play. Аlthough this issue is very extensive and versatile. Therefore, I probably will not get too involved in this topic.
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? A little sport. books, travel, computer games, in fact, a lot of things, if I will start count, I'm afraid you will not believe me.)))
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that?  Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? We are interested in good proposals, for example, about a contract with a record label. or about cooperation with the concert director. But at the moment we did not have necessary material resources to make serious steps. Ukraine is not a prosperous country in material terms but in any case we continue to move forward.
What made you decide to make this music? This is God's decision )))

What are your songs about?
Two people look at the same subject differently, the same concerns the perception of music and lirycs. All is individually. But in general I will say that most of Midgard texts have lots of hidden sens.
https://vk.com/board102835927
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? I would say that I am just a transmitter of information. Interpretation and ability to collect energy-information substance together is what I can do.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? In general Music comes first, But sometimes songs are written simultaneously - text and music
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? mostly I write music in the studio. But not always
Have you done any covers live? As midgard band - no. As Fion Miller - yes.
What language do you sing in? Russian and English. the last time in mostly in English. Because such songs will be more accessible to the majority
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? I can not say for sure. but at the first concerts there were about 100 people on the last about 1000
What ages are most of your concert attendants? it seems to me from 15 to 40
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? Now our concert repertoire is almost 2 hours non stop. So we play different songs
Do you have a regular place you play live often? In Cherkassy we periodically make life show. other concerts - in different ways
What was your first gig like? In general it was very successful. and people really liked it. many good reviews.
Have you had to cancel a gig? Well, one day we flew out of the festival, because I was in hospital. But there were a lot of bands performing besides us, so it's okay.

What was your latest gig? It was in Minsk in club Re:public - it was just a gorgeous concert. (http://metalheads.by/reports/lyutyy-fest.html)

Where have you played live this year? this year there was only 1 concert so far. The reference to which I left in the previous reply.
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? This year we plan a lot of concerts. but of the approved by now is only one festival Rosk Bulava (https://www.facebook.com/rockbulavafest/)
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? Well, we sell our merch after the show. we have foodballs, posters and caps
Where can people buy your merchandise? after the show and in our page here https://vk.com/midgard_official_page
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days?
Well I think that on the one hand it's good. because
- this is a PR for unrated bands,
- it allows listeners to better understand what they like.
Well, if there is already know a group they like it, they can buy an album on a bandcamp or just come to the their show.
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? Well, people are a bit chilled in this. because everything has become too much. But on the other hand, now everyone can really find  their own genre and favorite bands.
What do you think of my work? I think it's great when people find out and tell others what it's not so easy to find out.
How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? Any information that acquires a written form, in any case improves the position of fame
Do you have any role models or idols? I am delighted of many people, writers, musicians and generally creative personalities. And each of them somehow influenced my perception of the world
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today?
there are good old groups. There are good new ones.
In any case, even the new ones are already captured in history, and in general they have become part of the past.
What have been your biggest obstacles? alcoholism )))
What advice would you give other bands or artists? Do not take too much of what kills you, and listen more to your spirit than to the opinion of the surrounding people
How do you get psyched for a gig? all things that are not indifferent to us - worry us
Do you have any new material? Now we are working on a new album and  also prepare many other updates
