interview with Crossplane

Have any of you played in other bands? Yes, a few bands before. All of us.
How is it that you started playing music? We were all metalheads and wanted nothing else but to headbang and make heavy music!
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you? Celli, vocals and guitar, Alex lead guitar, Andrew Bass and backing vocals, Mark Drums! (between 39 and 46 years old)
Have you had other previous members? a few, but dont want to mention.
Did you make music even when you were young?  I know the others started pretty early! I started at age 14.
Where are you from? The band is From Essen Germany, I myself was born in England, Leicester City!
What year did the band form? 2009
What's your style of genre? rock n roll, rock and metal
What inspires you? all kinds of things, films, things that happen in life or even other bands too!
How often and where do you reherse? we play live alot, every weekend. we practice 1 x a week
How have you developed since you started with the music? You always learn things along the way- dont be late, be polite and stay true, would be the most important id say.
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? We book the shows ourselves and are still looking for a good booking agency.
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? we have a label, but nowadays it is not so important if you are good in promoting yourself. 
What made you decide to make this music? seemed logical, back to the roots.?
What are your songs about? All kinds of things: but not too political, more messages about life in general.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? mostly a riff first!
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? no we all compose in all kinds of ways, sometimes at home , sometimes in the practice room together.
Have you done any covers live? nope.
What language do you sing in? its all in english!
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? we had 15 paying guests in one club once, but also played wacken or other festivals with a huge crowd of 20.000 and more.
What ages are most of your concert attendants? between 20-40
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? we sometimes vary and put new songs in.
Do you have a regular place you play live often? no not really, some festivals book us every year...but not a home club or something.
What was your first gig like? nervewrecking but really good fun!
What was your latest gig? it was in a club and it was too hot. 100 Celsius or more..
Have you had to cancel a gig? only once, because of an injury
Where have you played live this year? 55 shows all over germany and europe
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? have 40 plus shows booked and a tour with Chrome division from norway. some nice festival gigs too.
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? we have shirts, caps, jackets, bags..since 2007.
Where can people buy your merchandise? online and at shows. www.crossplane.de
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? its the future way of music, cant stop the progress.
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? we have to sell more tickets and shirts now, CDs are important too, but they just make less money for the band.
What do you think of my work? its good to see someone interested in the "not so well known" bands too, thanks. 
How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? maybe, people will come and check us out at a show or our videos online.
Do you have any role models or idols? not really- lemmy was cool dude though:-9!
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? older for sure. i myself love old albums.
What have been your biggest obstacles? finding time to go on tour is not that easy.
What advice would you give other bands or artists? stay at it - if youre good you will succeed.
How do you get psyched for a gig? 2 beers and go...
