Have any of you played in other bands? Yes! Fab  (guitar) played in Deep Water, César (drum) played as session in Agressor and Gorsed Noctis, he was also in Darkall Slave, Mario is the guitarist of Slovenly World and I (Alexis) played in a few band but none with notoriety.
How is it that you started playing music?
I will speak for myself, even if I think that it's the same for my Bros:
Music always interested me, and one day I just started to play to know how it feel to be musician.
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?
Well, the Decline Brothers are:
Alexis Fleury 30 : singer.
Jordan Henriques aka Mario 29: guitarist.
Fabien Legué 33: guitarist.
Alexandre Morel aka Boulous 32: bassist.
César Vesvre 22: drummer. (He play his last gig with us on July 14. The name of his succesor will soon be released.)
Have you had other previous members?
Manu (guitar, 2012-2014) was the founding member of Death Decline.
Mariana, Val and Alex were the firsts singer drummer and bassist. We also have Gaspard ( guitar) from The Gaspard Vaude Project for a few gigs.
Did you make music even when you were young? César is the only who have a music student cursus, he started to play around ten. The others started music between fifteen and twenty.
Where are you from? The band is located in Dijon and we all came from cities near in Burgundy or Champagne Ardenne.
What year did the band form? The band started lives in 2012.
What's your style of genre? We play Thrash-Death Metal.
What inspires you?
A lot of thing I guess!
The bands we love for sure, but also the mix of our music influences, our life experience, sometimes also the actuality, the war, the religions, stuff like that. All but politic, we're definitly not a political band.
How often and where do you reherse? We have a reharshal studio near Dijon, we try to play at least two times a month.
How have you developed since you started with the music?
With a shitty ego, drugs addiction and illegitimate children!
Seriously, I can't even remember what my life was before the music, it bring me a passion, a lot of friends and a fucking depthless hole in my bank account. That's my own vision but I guess that my band mates feels the same.
Do you have other interests of work outside the band?
Yes, of course, we'd be best musicians if music was our only interest!
All  of us have other passion or interest, fishing, mecanic, video games, cooking ect...
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that?
Not really, we believe that it's inadapted for us at this moment.
Our little "notoriety" isn't enough to allow a good deal with a booking agency.
What made you decide to make this music? The pure hatred of humanity, and the love of beers.
What are your songs about? The numerious mistakes made by the human being.
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? It's a collective work, but I often write the lyrics and they create the music.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Both, we don't have a preset process.
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? Not really, inspiration can come in every places.
Have you done any covers live? Just one time, for the Lemmy's death.
What language do you sing in? English.
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? It's always a surprise, from two to two hundred.
What ages are most of your concert attendants? We never really notice about this.
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We have some must-have but the set list can vary.
Do you have a regular place you play live often? No, we try to play in different places.
What was your first gig like? A family reunion.
What was your latest gig? An evening with Hellslave  (italy) and Swart Crown  (fr).
Have you had to cancel a gig? Never by our own.
Where have you played live this year? In waiting for our new album release we've just play a few gigs across France.
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? We'll start the new album's tour in september. We have a few dates in France and we'd like to try to book some gigs in east Europe.
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? We always had t-shirt to sell and we plan to make some new stuff for the next tour.
Where can people buy your merchandise? Our first album is aviable on bandcamp and in a few shop, but for the moment t-shirt are just sell at the gigs.
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? We don't want to judge this kind of comportement, internet allow all of us to do that, so if people thinks that an artist don't deserve money for his work we can't fight against this.
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? We don't know well enough the arcanes of music industry to make a pertinent reflexion about this.
What do you think of my work? We thinks that Metal and Rock music really have the chance to have a strong community with people like you who work hard to bring visibility to the artists.
How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business? Nobody know who will read an interview, a report or a chronic, and all this kind of stuff could be a precious help for a band.
Do you have any role models or idols? A lot of artist inspire us, too much to list them!
Why do you think that they exist? Who know? Maybe to show us what is achievable with hard work and passion.
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? Both!
What have been your biggest obstacles? I think for band like us the main problem is often the logistic, conciliate our jobs with our passion.
What advice would you give other bands or artists? Don't get drunk before the show!
How do you get psyched for a gig?
With two pound of cocaïne!
More seriously, the music is enough to make us high before the show!
Do you have any new material? Soon! We'll release new album on october!
