interview with TEMPANO
Have any of you played in other bands? Yes, we have played in other bands: Mystery Machine, Hooverville, Tritured, and another projects.
How is it that you started playing music? we all have liked listening to music since we were really young...then you decide to save money, and then starting to play a instrument, etc. you try to play the same songs that you love, then you make your own songs, ...I suppose everyone started same way!
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you? Milio (guitar and vocals), Gonzalo (bass and vocals) and Me, Carlos (drums and vocals)
Have you had other previous members? Yes, our friend Noe played until 2013.
Where are you from? We are from Torrelavega, a small town of Cantabria, Spain.
What year did the band form? Milio an Me started to make some noise and some songs in 2010, we were trying to find a bassplayer and a singer, Noe had ever played a bass, so she was learning the songs at the same time she was starting to play the instrument! And we didn't find a singer, then Milio and me decided to sing for ourselves.
What's your style of genre? People used to call Screamo/Posthardcore/Punk
What inspires you? musically I have a lot of preferences, but maybe our style is closed to Ebullition/Levelplane/Stonehenge late 90's bands
How often and where do you reherse? we try to reherse once or twice per week, but sometimes it's really difficult, every member of Tempano has diferent timetables in their jobs, and it's hard to meet.
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? Personally I like listening to music, watching films/tv series, reading books, go hiking, do surfing, taking care my vegetable garden, and there always are new interests (do you ask me about that?).
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? Not really, we stand DIY values, and we look for shows by ourselves, and we really appreciate all the people who help us making that shows happen. Thanks you all!
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? our last release is a coopeation amoung 12 labels from different countries (Spain, Germany, USA, Italy, Russia, UK, Czech Republic)
What made you decide to make this music? we all love the music, there aren't better reason!
What are your songs about? Our songs usually are about political/social problems like environment issues, education, gaza conflict, animal liberation, etc.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? We always start with the music.
Have you done any covers live? No, I've never done a cover live.
What language do you sing in? We sing in Spanish.
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? The least 5/6people...the most, I don't know exactly, maybe 70 people
What ages are most of your concert attendants? All ages!!!
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We try to change the songs, but on tour we play the same setlist every show.
Do you have a regular place you play live often? No, we don't have.
Have you had to cancel a gig? We have had to cancel just one gig, because of our works.

What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? We have all our songs for downloading free!! we feel that it's the best option to spread the music, and if someone liked your music, it will be sure that he/she will buy your record!
What do you think of my work? We really appreciate your work, it's a good way to help the bands and supporting music!
Do you have any role models or idols? We don't believe in role models or idols!
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? As I told you in a question, we find inspiration from older bands, but we always try to find new bands and of course, some of them are inspiration for us.
