interview med Lesbian Bed Death
What is the name of your band? Lesbian Bed Death
What made you start a band? A love of music, and the desire to turn my youthful 'musical fantasies' into a reality.
What was the plan when you started the band? Initially, Lesbian Bed Death was a side project. I wanted to pay homage to the Goth and Glam bands I grew up with. The band became popular, and over time it became my priority.
When did you start the band? Late 2005. It was a project back then, as opposed to a real band. It has progressed over the years.
Where have you played from 2011 to 2013? We have only played in the UK over the last couple of years. We play shows fairly regularly.
Each was led first gig (Sorry, do you mean "Where was your first gig") ? Our first ever show was at The Sugarmill in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent (UK), supporting Hebephrenic.
Where were off last gig? Our last show was at The Rigger in Newcastle under Lyme. It's a great venue, and we had a fantastic night.
Each was led most promising gig? We played a show at The Gasworks in Leeds last year, with Rhombus and Bad Pollyanna. That was probably my favourite show from the last tour.
How many people usually come to your gigs? It can vary dramatically, depending on the location and the day. We're still a small band, so if more than a hundred people turn up, we're very happy.
Where do you plan to play the rest of the year? It depends where we get offered shows. I'm keen to play in London and Manchester again as soon as possible.
What you drive for music style? We have our sound. We're less concerned with 'genres' now, and just play music from the heart. What comes out of us comes out. Creativity without boundaries.
What made you start with just "Goth/Punk/Rock"? When I started the band, Razorwire was my main band, and we were more of a 'Metal' act. It was fun to have a change from that, and draw from my Goth/Glam/Hard Rock influences.
What are your songs about? Most of our songs are about Horror films and relationships.
Do you do your own songs or covers? We have recorded three cover songs, which we've released as B-Sides. We have not played any covers live yet.
Who writes the songs? / Who does the music? Our current line-up writes together.
Who has the best humour? Probably Chuckmaster C, our lead guitarist. We're all good humoured people. Well, most of the time.
Good and bad sides of the band? We love writing and recording music. We love interacting with the fans. Ozzy Osbourne once said "There's nothing better than a good gig, and nothing worse than a bad one". I agree with that completely. Being in a band isn't always fun. It can be hard work and even demoralising at times. However, a good show and the support from the fans make it all worthwhile.

Where are you from? Kittie is from Preston. Chuckmaster C is from Wolverhampton. I'm originally from Shrewsbury, but live in Stoke-on-Trent.
Who plays what? Kittie Racchea: Vocals, Mr Peach: Rhythm Guitar and Chuckmaster C: Lead Guitar. Chuckmaster C also played Drums and Bass on our new album. When we play live, we have Iain on Bass and either Danny Stigmata or Simon on Drums.
What are your role models before? I have too many to mention. I have found Alice Cooper and Kiss hugely inspiring for many years.
What inspires you? New music. Horror films. Life in general, especially when embarking on new adventures.
Where is most common that you play? Venues in and around Stoke-on-Trent. We do play all over the UK too. We are planning to head into mainland Europe next year.
What are your plans for the future?I would like to play more shows, especially in other countries. I want to work on new music videos, and do everything possible to help our fan base to grow.
