What is the name of your band? Glenn - Rigor Sardonicous
What is alloy name "Rigor Sardonicous" For? Glenn - The actual name should be Risus Sardonicus, but Rigor has a more gutteral sound and the "O" in Sardonicus makes it look more balance. The meaning is the smile that dead people get from the facial muscles tightening.
What made you to be baptized to just "Rigor Sardonicous"? Glenn - It seemed like an appropriate name for the style of music.
What started you in music? Glenn - A lack of music that I wanted to hear, namely, very slow, extremely heavy.
What made you form the band? Glenn - Deciding I could make the music I wanted to hear.
Where are all remembers from? Glenn - Long Island New York.
What places will you be playing in? Glenn - We have no plans to play any shows in the near future.

How old are you?
Glenn - 47 years old.
Joe - older than 5
How do you get psyched up for a gig? Glenn - Not being an exciteable person by nature, I really don't get psyched up.
What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Glenn - To fill the void of music that I wanted to hear and maybe influence others to do the same.

Have you been part of any other projects?
Glenn - I have played on a few demos a very long time ago.
Joe - I was the live session guitarist for Sectioned when they first came to the US.
Have you been in any other bands?
Glenn - Yes, Joe and I met in a band called Abhorrence many years ago. I also played in a few other minor bands.
Joe - I was in Dimentianon for 6 years. Other current projects are Teloch Vovin and Cadaverist.
What do you work with outside of the band and the music?
Glenn - I am a software developer.
Joe - I am a sound engineer and teacher.
What would you do if there was no music? Glenn - Probably what I am doing right now, sitting in front of a computer.
Joe - work with animals and/or kill humans on a mass scale.
How important are your fans? Glenn - Fans are cool, so they are very important.
What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? Glenn - Probably the most memorable, though they may not have been fans, is we got 7 people physically ill with our sound.
How often do you rehearse? Glenn - Lately we don't rehearse because Joe and I are both so busy.
Where do you rehearse? Glenn - We rehearse either at Joe's or my house.
What year was the band started? Glenn - The concept came about in the early 1980s, but the band didn't get started until about 1988. I met Joe around 1990 and that is about when the current lineup happened.
Where have you played from then till now? Glenn - Mostly shows on Long Island.
What songs are in your live set's? Glenn - We play different songs, but we always seem to play Jewish Massacre and Parasitosis. Is it always the same set's live? Glenn - No, I don't think we have ever played the same set twice.
Joe - Nope, never.
Where was your first gig? Glenn - That is tough to say, it was so long ago. I don't really keep track of these things.
Where was the latest gig? Glenn - University Cafe Stony Brook NY
Name 2 of your own songs you like at the moment? Glenn - Nox Noctis Theca Dies (as night envelopes the day) and my all time favorite The Deathless Sol
What do you feel is the best liveband you've seen? Glenn - Probably Slayer on the Angel of Death tour.
How old were you the first time you saw a liveband play? Glenn - I guess about 15
How old were you at your first gig? Glenn - 18 or 19. It was a party.
What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? Glenn - Just the desire to hear the music I want to hear.
Any pearls of wisdom for all other bands out there? Glenn - Don't listen to critics, if they don't get the music, they have no idea what they are talking about, so how can they criticize it? Never change your style just because someone tells you you'd do better. They simply don't understand.
Would you like to add anything else? Joe - Um, wait. Let me thinkÉ..
What has been the best/most promising gig so far? Glenn - For me, probably the show at Lakesides in Ronkonkoma.
Have you had any bigger tours from start till now? Glenn - No, we are not much of a live band. Joe played some bigger shows with another bass player for a while.
How big crowds do you usually play for? Glenn - Usually a couple of hundred people.
What are the plans for the rest of the year? Glenn - Mostly just remaining alive.
What genre do you feel you are? Glenn - We've been called Raw Apocalyptic Doom, so we stuck with that title. I definitely do not consider us funeral doom, yet that is what most people seem to call us.
Why did you pick that particular style? Glenn - I find the sound appealing.
What are your songs about? Glenn - They can be about anything, but mostly death, destruction, the normal human traits.
Do you write your own material or mainly covers? Glenn - Mostly we write our own, but we have done a few covers.
Who writes your songs?/ who writes the music who writes lyrics? Glenn - Mostly Joe now, but we used to both do it.
Who has the best since of humor in the band?
Glenn - I'd say neither has the best humor. Joe is definitely the more outgoing of us, so most never get to see my humorous side.
Joe - Yes. I am the more outgoing. That is why Glenn is talking more, eh?
What's good/bad with the band? Glenn - The good has been having an influence on some of today's music. The bad, not being able to play more.

Glenn - Just the total pointlessness of it all, yet some feel the need to put meaning to it.
