What´s the name of your band? Self Deception
Can you tell about your band? Self Deception is a Stockholm based band with a great feel of high pulsed, modern rock. This quartet has attitude and is driven with a commitment of being one of Swedens top acts. The band consist of four hard working tightly bound friends, with high ambition and a big passion for the music they play and love. Influenced mostly from 90's music like westcoast rock, grunge and hardrock.

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? To be able to make a living off our own music
Where was your first gig? Kungsträdgården, Stockholm 2005
Where was the latest gig? Göta Källare, Stockholm
Who writes your songs?/ who writes the music who writes lyrics? We write the songs together, Andreas writes all the lyrics
Who has the best since of humor in the band? Well our guitarist Ronny has the worst for sure.
Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about? It's a blend of the different music we love. Every song is written about som part of our singer Andreas life.
Do you write your own material or mainly covers? We write our own music, but we have covered some songs a while back
Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? We have released two ablums: Restitution 2009, Over the Threshold 2011 and we will be releasing an EP called These Walls this year

Witch band is the best you´ve seen? Story of the year
How big crowds do you usually play for? 150-800
When did you decide to go all in for the music? About 6 or 7 years ago
What are your sources of inspiration? life basically
What's the first step when making a new song? That we either have a good riff or good idéas for lyrics and song.
What would be your dreams for the band? world tour
When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? losing my voice
Have you been part of any other projects? yes I work full time in a party coverband mostly performing at nightclubs in scandinavia
How important are your fans? really important. they are the reason you get pumped to do shit
What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? alot of people have done tattoo's but I think the most memorable thing was a boy that had a crush on a girl at school a d made a neckless for her with "angel-like" written on it. and now they are together.
How often do you rehearse? 2-3 week

What do you feel is the best live band you've seen? story of the year
What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? the passion for music
