interview with Bloody Pussy Guts

What´s the name of your band? Bloody Pussy Guts

How was the band formed? The band was formed with myself, Alexander D. Webb doing all instruments between January and February of 2013.

Can you tell about your band? One man inhuman gore grind/brutal grindcore.

Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band? From Santa Maria, California. I do all of the wrtiting, all instruments, guitar, vocals, bass, and drums(not drum machine or digital). When played live, I play drums/vocals with my backing recorded guitar/bass streamed off an mp3 player through amps and cabinets.

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? The original ambition was to just play and get my message out there of my disgust and angst towards an inhumane species known as “humans” and give my viewpoint and vision of them on point.

Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? My music is misanthropic and demonic. Very crippling and very fast. Unrelenting blast beats and technical rhythm. Check it out.

Where was your first gig?  My first gig was at The Tavern-Ventura, California for ‘Metal Wednesdays’…

Why did you pick that particular style?/What are your songs about? I chose this style of music for the effect and love of the genre by a whole. I take it very seriously as you can tell, just by even giving it a thought is beyond reason as to let it be known that this is what I was meant to do. The lack of grind bands in the area to produce this is what made me pursue it indefinitely. The songs range from decomposition to sexual deviance. I deliver a very distinct message based on what I experience as an individual whether it be the reason of crimes I commit to intense violence, human nature, rage, inferiority, volatility, hostility, demonics, and so forth…

Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? I have made 2 albums and a few eps. Starting with ‘Humanicidal’ ep, then the ‘Flesh in Blood’ album…’Urban Harvest’ ep, ‘Promo 2015’ and the ‘Self titled’ ep…‘Core Annihilation’ is my 2nd and recent album.

What are your goals with your music? The goal for this music not only to seemingly prove my worth and stamina for the genres and related genres as far as brutal music is concerned but just to have an acknowledged existence as a man who endures the strains of human culture and delivers an approach of volatile inhuman presence and disgust for the living…

What are your sources of inspiration? My sources of inspiration are mainly due through everyday life. Sometimes when I’m acting silly or when I am extremely pissed off. I usually think of my life in terms of experiences and how I grew up into a society full of dread, violence, and misery. The coldest shade is when you experience near death. I just listen to a lot of brutal death metal and grindcore while reading the lyrics to get a full in depth vision of how those bands get their message acrossed and do it as unique as possible.

What's the first step when making a new song? Usually I approach it through my guitar though some of my drumming has brought in new focus to how I should play it out more violent and chaotic.

How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums?  As long as it can be appreciated, I don’t really give a shit. I don’t do it for a market nor do I do it for ‘fun’. I do it to deliver something.

Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? Any brutal death metal, grindcore, powerviolence, hardcore, slam, tech death, punk, etc. etc.

When you are on stage, what do you fear most then?  I fear absolutely nothing. I anticipate it.

What would you do if there was no music? Probably a bank robbery…or just be insane.

How often do you rehearse? Usually whenever possible which is all the time.

Name 2 of your own songs you like at the moment? ‘Consexual’ and ‘2x4 Embludgeonment’…I love them because they are personal.

What do you feel is the best live band you've seen? Gorguts

What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? The means to deliver…

Do you have any webpages? Yes…

Bandcamp- bpg696.bandcamp.com

Facebook- facebook.com/disown696emp

Describe your show, visually and musically It’s like seeing a madman blast beat and vocalize his own ass to hell…

What advice would you like to give other bands? Keep it brutal and Don’t fuck with me…

What are the biggest obstacles for a band? Jail.

Whats your Pre-show ritual?

Load up the vehicle and unload it when I arrive.

Do you have anything to add?

Listen…Take in the message…Embrace the violence…It is some serio shit… hahaha…
