interview with Dispersal
Have any of you played in other bands? Yes! Two members of our band play together in another band. Stavros(bass) and Alex(vocals).
How is it that you started playing music? In the beginning Spyros and Giannis were playing some cover songs on the guitar, but they decided to do something more than this. Jordan joined the band as drummer and they begun rehearsals. Then Alex, vocals, with his friend Stavros,bass, came and completed the final line up.
What are your names?/Who plays what?/How old are you? John Katsikas: Guitars(20 years old) ,Spyros Harelas: Guitars(20 years old) ,Jordan Tsantsanoglou: Drums(18 years old) Alex Stroumtsas: Vocals(23 years old) ,Stavros Mpathrellos : Bass(18 years old)
Did you make music even when you were young? Yes of course!
Where are you from? We are from Thessaloniki,Greece.
What year did the band form? Dispersal formed in February 2013 and after 1 year the final line up completed
and released our first debut EP '' Human Assault '' !!!
What's your style of genre? We all have different musical influences but the genre that we liked most and presented in our first EP is Thrash / Death Metal !
How often and where do you reherse? Usually before we do lives or when we working new ideas!
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? Yes of course! We are looking for a booking agency so in the future we will be able to do a tour
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? Yes, so we can release our full length album.
What are your songs about? Our first EP '' Human Assault '' includes 4 tracks. The self-titled ''Human Assault'',''Destroy the World'', ''Conflict With Hate'', and ''Dead Silence''. The lyrics of the songs presents the violence, causes and the state of war and the emotions experienced by people during a war!
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? All together of course!
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Usually with the music, but we haven’t got any plan for this.
Have you done any covers live? Yes! We playing one or two covers in every live!
What language do you sing in? In English!
What ages are most of your concert attendants?
Every ages.
Ps. In the first live of band we had seen a 10years old boys near the stage..!! Hahaha it was a amazing!!
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We try to change the setlist with any covers or new unreleased tracks!
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? We think that this is wrong in many ways. People should buy records to support the bands, so they can make more records and have their fans pleased!
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? It changed in a bad way.
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? Yes of course
