What´s the name of your band? Helter-Skelter

Sakib (Lead guitarist) is the founder of this band....The first member he found for the band was the vocal  Wreevu who always had a desire to  deliver a hitherto unheard depth and maturity with his throats...His influences were Children of Bodom,Godsmack,Slayer and many more renowned bands..The thing what needed to be done was to get Wreevu accustomed to with our patterns..So Sakib trained him for several days...

Later,we found Saqeeb as a drummer but he couldn't continue due to his personal problems and started working with Saphwan who showed his willingness to join our band...

Gradually, we found Turash as the rhythm guitarist and Anas as the bassist for our band

Later Anas and Turash left the band for their personal problems ... Anup Rahman joined as the guitarist...Gradually, Sakib found the bassist Azan Mostofa .After doing couple of jamming sessions with this line-up ,we found out that we are getting tighter as a band.

Later Azan mostofa left the band for some personal reasons and Wasek joined as the riff guitarist and consequently Anup switched onto playing bass...

Afterwards, in 2014 the band parted ways with their previous drummer Saphwan and their riff player Wasek for some unavoidable circumstances. But in the meantime, the band started the process of auditioning many drummers and riff players at the same time..

Finally they got Ahmed Akif Rahman to fill in for the drums section and Rafael Aahnaf Rafat for the rhythm guitar section of this band on account of long term basis...

So here we are standing and banging our heads with our chaotic grooves to entertain you all.

well....I(Sakib) think my band is the best band (at least for me) and my members are the best....and it isn't just a band...we are more than just a band we are brothers...

We are Helter-Skelter..We are a new groove thrash metal band.... A new upcoming masterpiece of modern Thrash metal in Bangladesh where Guitars rip, drums pound, bass thunders and lyrics resonate as the group of five soars from Dhaka, Bangladesh to be defined as the – Helter-Skelter !!! It is a glittering explosion of neck-snapping riffs, grandiose melodious choruses and outstanding musicianship from all five members of the band. And with good reason; to witness Helter-Skelter live is to understand both their unique internal chemistry with savage thrash intricacy and riff-age and the undeniable bond that the band shares with its audience which ultimately crashes HEAD FIRST into bludgeoning head banging....

we love making pranks,composing and we also fight a lot...

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? our aim isn't like "be the best fuck the rest" We only aim to entertain people with our compositions and obviously in our unique way of composing songs and it means a lot for us if people like our staffs...

Where was your first gig? Our 1st gig was at Agargaon National library auditorium and the show was titled as " The tribute to metal gods" where we gave  a tribute to Arch-Enemy...It was the best experience for all us... As it was our debut show ,people started  making fun of us as they were thinking that we might be incompetent to compete up with other bands but honestly, as soon as we got on the stage, they were spellbound as we totally burnt the stage...

Where was the latest gig? Our latest gig was held at Ramna engineering institute which is considered as one of the most prominent concert venue in Bangladesh where we headlined the event along with a renowned rock-act of our country named Shironamhin.. Afterwards, the gig went really well...

Who writes your songs?/ who writes the music who writes lyrics? So far all the lyrics and compositions are being done by Sakib

What's good/bad with the band? Everything felt great so far with the band except our class schedules which sometimes hamper our jamming and recording sessions..

How old were you guys when you first stood on stage? we were 18 back then

What year was the band started? 17th August,2011

Best/worst gig you've played? Best gig was Savagery presents underground revolution and worst gig was Music mayhem

Is it always the same songs live? Nope... we have a lot of tracks in our set-list...So,after gathering impressions depending on the ood of the crowd,we select our tracks for the gig..

What are the plans for the rest of the year? Successfully launching our debut EP

What are your goals with your music? Just to entertain people with our own style and get recognized if possible..

Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? Obviously the older bands are more inspirational...But I wouldn't like to count the modern bands out..Some of them are doing really well..

What are your sources of inspiration? People who love our songs and our aim to give them  good songs..

What's the first step when making a new song? That's a secret hahahahahahaha

What would be your dreams for the band? If we could get to write down our band's name in a renowned record label

Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? Well....we try to listen all the good music we get

What would be your greatest fears for the future? Obviously losing my band members.... 

What would you do if there was no music? Don't know don't want to know...

How important are your fans? They are the reason of our existence...

What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? Circle pit 

How often do you rehearse? We are a lazy band though we have an active member like Akif ,our drummer but everything is ruined by Sakib..Hehehe

How do you view the music industry of today? absolutely fucking polluted 

What advice would you like to give other bands? Try composing your songs in your own style and concentrate more on your own staffs rather than covering staffs...

What are the biggest obstacles for a band? Many bands face many problems...In our case it's time management and money

Tell us about upcomming gigs and why we should be at them?The upcoming gig is "Scimitarya presents Infernal fest" @ Agargaon national library auditorium on 7th of November 2014 and you should be there because we will try our level best to make your neck hurt hahahahaha...
