What´s the name of your band?  Inner Circle

How was the band formed?  The band was started by Ian and Roger Lewis with friends from school.

Where are all band members from?

All members are from Jamaica.

The present members are:

Ian Lewis – Bass

Lancelot Hall - Drums, Percussions & Vocals

Roger Lewis - Guitar

Bernard "Touter" Harvey - Keyboards, Vocals

Trevor "Skatta" Bonnick - Vocals, Percussions

Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you?  The sound of Jamaican music at its best with influences of Pop, R&B and a little R&R. 

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? All members participate in the creative process. 

What are your songs about?   All our songs are about life as we experience it.  We do have opinions about religion and politics but prefer to keep those private.

Do you write your own material or mainly covers?  We write most of our own material but occasionally cover songs that mean something to us.

Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? Yes, I can't remember all the titles. 

Do you have any clips on YouTube?  Yes.

What year was the band started? About 1968/9

What places will you be playing in in the imidate future? Anywhere in the world that would like to experience reggae music at its best.

How big crowds do you usually play for? From 100 to 500000

When did you decide to go all in for the music? Since High School

What are your sources of inspiration?  Life is the best inspiration

How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? Downloading is the future, brick and mortar  stores as far as selling music is almost over. One has to move with the times or be left behind.

What do you hold most dear? Our families.

What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? The belief and the love of the power of music to communicate with all people of the world.

What advice would you like to give other bands?Believe in yourself and be proficient at what you do.
