How is it that you started playing music? Basically all of us started playing music thanks to Rock or Metal, when we were kids. Later we discovered the Thrash metal and our lives changed. We wanted and want more, scream and spread all our hate with this stupid society and that was the link for all of us to finally play street thrash metal!

What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?

We are four:

Felipe Alvarado: Lead guitar and vocals

Joaquin Muñoz: Rhythm guitar and Back vocals

Rodrigo Poblete: Drums

Vicente Pereira : Bass player

Have you had other previous members? Yes we had! we had another bass player but we felt that he couldn’t play the songs very well so he was fired, and also we had two previous vocals they were fired for the same reason. On guitars we had a friend of us (now playing in Mental Devastation) playing for critical some time, when I left the band for a while to concentrate in my studies. We are still very close friends with these guys.

Did you make music even when you were young? We are still young and still angry!! Hahahha

Where are you from? We are from Villa Alemana, Valparaiso. CHILEAN BAY AREA !

What year did the band form?

We started a long time ago, around 2011 or 2012 I don’t know exactly. I remember that we were in the schools at that time. Just a bunch of kids.

What's your style of genre?

We all like a lot of styles inside rock or metal or even classic music, but we obviously prefers Thrash.

What inspires you? Injustice… and the stupid reality of our society and the current facts in the world and specially our country, we are living a nightmare between the political corruption and our lifestyle here in Chile. I don’t like to write lyrics about beer, mosh and party… that is for me a waste of time and words. We are tired of all this injustice, corruption and lake of opportunities in our country and that is the inspiration for us! 

How often and where do you reherse? Once or twice a week

Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? Yeah ! why not haha it could be a very interesting experience and travel to other countries, other cultures, other people  and can play your music for a different crowd !! Fucking amazing !!!

Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? It would be nice that someone could be interested in our work and help us to spread our message.

What made you decide to make this music? We don’t want to get rich or be famous. We decided play this style because is our life, our feelings, our way to express all the anger against the established order  or our happiness, thoughts or dreams and share it, make  connections through the music  with other people.

What are your songs about? In our first demo “Chambers of Pain” we talked about war, death, violence, corruption, conformity and now in our next songs we are trying to change the topics to something more elaborated i.e. Psychology, schizophrenia, internal decay, feelings and the reality of our brain and our society and how are all of us fucking Brainwashed.    

Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? Felipe Alvarado is the responsible of all the riffs and music composing, and the guy behind the lyrics is me Joaquin Muñoz. Obviously all of us make a contribution because we are a band and we cooperate as a band.

Do you start with the music or the lyrics? We start with the music, because in this way we can write the lyrics according to the atmosphere of the music and so, make a really good song.

Do you compose in a certain inviroment? Not really, the inspiration could come from everyplace hahah

Have you done any covers live? We had a couple of covers previously Brainwashed (Nuclear Assault) and March of sod (S.O.D) but in this moment we haven’t

What language do you sing in? We speak Spanish but we sing in English.

What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? our first gig was great ! full of people!! Here in Chile the crow is very loyal they support to the maximum the local scene and if you have to travel to other regions with your band, they travel with you to see the band and the other local bands!! but sometimes you have a lot of guys doing moshpit and headbangind and other times there is no more than a  little bunch of guys.

What ages are most of your concert attendants? All ages ! no restrictions for anyone. Young boys of 15 years old to guys of 40 hahah together doing mosh ! and enjoying the music.

Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We play the songs of the Demo, but we have played a couple of new songs and covers.

Do you have a regular place you play live often? Something like that, Valparaiso have few places that you can play live, there are almost 3 locals for metal bands so we rotate between these locals.

What was your first gig like? AMAZING !! we played alongside a great bands Terror Strike, Calvario and Demoniac !! and we were the first band on stage and it’s was completely full of guys waiting for our band !! Was insane!

What was your latest gig? We played on a open air festival ! we are on stage and we could see nothing more than a cloud of dust and guys doing moshpit ! again… INSANE !! hahahha

Have you had to cancel a gig? no

Where have you played live this year? No we have not,we had been busy with new songs and other stuff

Where do you plan to gig the comming year? No idea hahaha depend of producers!

When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? We have only our Demo and a Split to sell, here the crowd made their owns t shirts of local bands so, its not very important to us selling other non-musical stuff

What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records nowadays? When you are trying to get a old CD for example the first LP of megadeth or something like that, basically old and rare metal or music. for me, I don’t have any objection about downloaded it. But with new bands is different, we need the support of the people ! we spend a lot of money, time and suffering doing this and for us or any other band is so important got the support of the crowd! Going to concerts, buying CD or merchandising.   

How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? The music industry nowadays is more worried about sell and gets some profit, that’s never changed. I have a big respect for all this people who are worried about the true essence, and impulse a lot of really good new metal bands to make a record only for the love to the music! 

What do you think of my work? It’s great !! you are giving us a opportunity to show our music and our thoughts about it. How a told you when we got your e-mail “ for us is cool that some people are interested in our music !”

Do you have any role models or idols? No, we haven’t. idols are for Pop or other genres. we are just us trying to the same guys as always

What have been your biggest obstacles? The Chilean music industry hahah and sometimes our times to rehearsal or dedicate to the band. Some of us are studying in the university  and the tempos sometimes are a obstacle.

What advice would you give other bands or artists? Be determined and stay firm, this is not the summer of love ! if you want to make music, fight for it ! and don’t give up. It’s a difficult path but to the end is the most satisfactory thing in the world! And don’t sell your ideas and music for a stupid money !!
Do you have any new material? We are working on it ! we have a couple of new songs. So, we are going to prepare for the next LP.
