interview with Jaded faith

What´s the name of your band? Jaded faith
How was the band formed? We all went to the same school. Daniel (our singer) asked Rasmus (guitarist), Todd (drummer) and Robin (guitarist) if we wanted to start a metal band. We said yes, later, when we realized that we were in need of another member, an introduction of our baseplayer (Gabriel) took place. The formation has been ever since.
Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band?
We are all from a small town called Nyköping, south of Sweden’s capital Stockholm.
The band members plays the following: Daniel-lead singer, Rasmus-guitarist, Robin-guitarist, Gabriel-base, Todd-Drummer.
What was the ambitions of the band when you started? We didn’t think much of it in the begining. Our first rehersals were pretty bad and nowhere close serious, but after awhile, the thoughts of aiming for something more started to grow.
Could you explain your music to someone that haven't heard you? Progressive metal, with a twist.
Where was your first gig? At a local festival, called Nyköpings festdagar. It was in a parking lot next to some bbq resturant
Where was the latest gig? At Emergenza, Stockholm, Klubben Fryshuset.
Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? Daniel and Todd writes lyrics. Robin and Rasmus writes all the songs, but we all get a saying.
Who has the best since of humor in the band? We all have pretty bad humor, but Todd has the worst.
What's good/bad with the band? We all like eachother very much and we all want the same thing.
Why did you pick that particular style? Gabriel showed us periphery...it went downhill from there
What are your songs about? Critique towards society and religion.
Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? No but our goal is to make an EP this year.

How old are you? We’re all turning 18 this year, and we all started playing at about age of 10.
What year was the band started? Late 2013, but January 2014 was the time we started getting serious.
Is it always the same songs live? No, we always change our setlist after making a new song
What are the plans for the rest of the year? Making an EP and playing bigger gigs.
How do you get psyched up for a gig? Take pictures of ourselfs, writing dumb shit on social media and laughing.
What are your goals with your music? Be able to live of our music and tour the world, but also make people to think in other aspects.
What are your sources of inspiration? Bands that we listen to, life events, and eachother

What's the first step when making a new song? Usually a guitar riff
How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums? We live in a new age. We belive that downloading is inevetable, and that’s why gigs are such a crucial point in the music industry today.
Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? We listen to everything that pleases the human ear
When you are on stage, what do you fear most then? Technical difficulties
What do you work with outside of the band and the music? We go to high school.
How important are your fans? We love them for liking and supporting us, that means the world to us.
What's the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? When a friend of ours (Liam), went up on stage and said what song we were about to play. But that time Gabriels hair got stuck in robins guitar is also pretty memorable.
How often do you rehearse? 2 times a week, more if needed, for example before a gig

At a house called slakhuset.
Name 2 of your own songs you like at the moment? Spellbound and First, Second, Sold! (Todd)
What drives a band that isn't all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? Well for us, it’s the support of fans and the passion of being creative
Describe your show, visually and musically A bunch of dudes headbanging, and one who constantly drags his hand through his hair
What advice would you like to give other bands? Make friends with other musicians, they might have a gig for you.
