Have any of you played in other bands? There's only one of me and yes I have played in other bands
How is it that you started playing music? As a small child my parents partied a lot and the music was the heart and soul of the party. I come from a poor family when I was 8 all I wanted was a stereo so I got a clock radio, luckily I lived in the city so I could get a good radio station
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you? J Compton, lead guitar rhythm guitar/ vocals/ song writer
Have you had other previous members? yes most recent was a drummer, J carpenter and I changed the name after I decided to go solo
Did you make music even when you were young? I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old
Where are you from? united states, raised in Ogden Utah moved around a lot lived in 1/3 of the states
What year did the band form? when I first started my own band I called it Necromancy and it was me and my drummer not shur but was about 16 years ago
What's your style of genre? Death metal
What inspires you? mostly lead guitar players from rock to metal like, dave mustain
How often and where do you reherse? iv cut back a lot on playing but when I do is at home
How have you developed since you started with the music? I think I was a slow learner the first two years if any one came around id stop playing
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? always wanted to own my own club/ restarant
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that?
sence I went solo its imposable for me to play live any more expecialy sence im a better guitar player than drum machine programmer
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? if I could get a new drummer yes deffinatly. me and a drummer is all I need
What made you decide to make this music? the love of music
What are your songs about? death, corruption, evil
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? mostly me I have had help in the past with some lyrics
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? music first most the time but some times I have lyrics need to be in a song
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? No not really
Have you done any covers live? of course many Mettalica, Acid Bath, Slayer, Megadeth, Cradle of Filth, Deicide, and many others

What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? least 20 most about 400
What ages are most of your concert attendants? about 26 to 30 some times older some times younger
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? not realy because some times I my play 10 of my 26 originals and a couple covers 2 or 3 and it varies what covers I play
Do you have a regular place you play live often?
no I go where they'll take me
What was your first gig like? not sure if you would call it a gig but I played at one of my best friends partys her band was playing on the radio that night with an interview following so the left erly to make it to the radio station so me and a drummer m. parry finished the party had to been over 300 ppl there that night I played cover at that time hadn't written any songs
What was your latest gig? haven't actualy played in a long time but the last gig was a birthday party of a coworker
Have you had to cancel a gig? yes when I was in Necromancy I hade to cancel a gig because my drummer was sick I steel went and watched the other five bands play was a good show I remember broudquin if I spelled it write, mostly couse there drummer played on a baby kit and he was amazing and over all the whole band was preaty good
Where have you played live this year? haven't played anywhere this year
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? hopefully I could get some members and return to my home town where it would be easyer to get booked and I could dominate
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? never sold any mechandice once I printed a window sticker that took up the whole top of my front windshield of my 72 lamans Necromancy the c got messed up and couple African americans got mad until I explayed it to them but most of my friends starded calling me Necromacy
Where can people buy your merchandise? no where yet
What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? if they what it to be free then ya but just like movies it should cost and most musisions these days only make money from concerts
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? like I said everyone shares tha music they bout on the enternet so realy all the money is made from shows and mechandice
What do you think of my work? well sory I hvent had time to look at a lot of it all iv seen is other interviews you've done and it seams like you've done a lot of them so if you can help get my name be known you might be the key for a restart or finding dedicated members who like my style so I can continue this dream of mine, to be heard
How do you think and know that this interview will help you in the music business?I don't know that it will healp me but at the same time its flatering that someone would whant to interview me
Do you have any role models or idols? dave mustain mostly couse hes awesome and his stuff is pic becouse hhis stuff is the hardest to play and sing at the same time and that's what he dose
Why do you think that they exist? because Megadeth is awesome dave writes all the songs and they make good music
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? older of cours because bands thes days is mostly singer whin musisians that only play simpl chords
What have been your biggest obstacles? living in the middle of no where where my favorite type of music if frowned apon
Do you have any new material? I have 25 origianals written since I stated writing id have to say dany filth inspired me to write my own lyrics and sing too
What are your web sites? you cand find two song I made in the heat of he moment on youtube maskimxul777/youtube becouse I had a guy whiling to record me for free because he realy liked my sound and he never he never heard some one play like me in person

by the way id like to give shout out to the person who did my recordings couse he died a couple weeks later in his sleep, thank you Mich im 38 years old and wish I could just record my 26 originals and get them out there I don't care about the money or fame too me its all about the music.
