interview with GjeldRune
Have any of you played in other bands? Of course. But no one of them wasn't for us as important as GjeldRune
How is it that you started playing music? SOme of us have become students of musical school in early ages, some of us started to play being teenagers because it was cool
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you? My name is Fedor, I'm 23. The rest guys who can't answer these questions with me are Jevgenij, Ksusha, Nikita, ALexandr, Alexej. Me and Ksusha are the youngest, the oldest of us has 30.
Have you had other previous members? Yes, a lot. 12 drummers for example
Did you make music even when you were young? Don't about others. I wrote my 1st melody when I was 9 years old. The 2nd - when was 14
Where are you from? Little town Dubna, Moscow region, Russia
What year did the band form? We started to play music together in 2008 but GjeldRune wa built in 2010 so 18th of October 2010 - our Birthday
What's your style of genre? Melodic Power/Folk metal
What inspires you? History, books, nature, travelling
How often and where do you reherse? 1-2 times a week in a small studio in 1 minute of walking from my flat
How have you developed since you started with the music? We have kicked off from the band musicians who didn't want to develop. That's why the quantity of our music always grows up as we think
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? Interests of work? Usually working is just making money. As for us for example. From music we have nothing
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? Yes, we are. Now we are on the way to making our 1st european tour and we will surely do that with booking agency because we need help in systemating of the tour. If we will organise our concerts only by ourselves - it will be chaos.
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? Now yes - we are looking for label. We tried to do self promotion but it was successful. Label is good when you don't know how to promote your band. If you promote your band good - you needn't label, you can be awesome and famous musician even without it.

What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? the least - 6, it was long ago. The most... 300 I guess, maybe more. For us the main thing is that we never play for an empty venue.
What ages are most of your concert attendants? I think its 25-35 years. But also we always see young people at our concerts
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? Even at rehearsals we vary because we hate to play all the same all the time. It's necessary to keep listeners interested. For example I was at 5-7 concerts of my friendly band for the last 3 years. They still play the same tracks which they played at the 1st concerts at which I was. And I dont wanna see their live show one more until they won't change the track list.
