Have any of you played in other bands? Yes, currently playing actually. Mats and Martin play in Kraanium and have some side-projects like: Dragging Entrails, Last to remain and Mats also plays in Diphenylchloroarsine and working on the new Putrified J album. Mike plays in Dehumanization and Floor plays in Korpse and Carnifloor
How is it that you started playing music? The band started as an project by Mats, Martin and Benjamin, when they recorded the first EP Fermented got asked to play shows and and from there we made it more into a band than a project.
What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?
Martin Funderud (37) - vocals, Mats Funderud (37) - Guitar, Floor van Kuijk (25) - Guitar, Mike Boogaard (23) - Bass. And at the moment we use an drumcomputer.
Have you had other previous members? Yes Benjamin - Guitar (one of the founding members) and some session drummers.
Did you make music even when you were young? Yes we all did.
Where are you from? Half of the band from Norway and half from the Netherlands.
What year did the band form? 2014
What's your style of genre? An mix of Slam and Beatdown.
What inspires you? A lot of bands, from No Zodiac to Cephalotripsy.
How often and where do you reherse? Mostly just before a tour or if we have a gig and didn’t rehearse for a while.
How have you developed since you started with the music? Well for me it’s an ongoing learning process, you are never done developing. But music wise I definitely grew in song writing/playing skills and live performance.
Do you have other interests of work outside the band? Outside of the band most interesting for me is just playing guitar and visit a lot of metal gig’s.
And good fat food, we all love food!
Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? At the moment not really, we mostly get everything done ourselves. That way we know exactly what’s going on.
Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? No we already got an label for the next release.
What made you decide to make this music? I think we all just love this kind of music for it’s brutality/expression, personally I really like the scene. It’s not too big and in that way you easily get in contact with a lot of other cool bands and sometimes start working together.
What are your songs about? Mostly gore, torture, rape. The usual stuff. But the next EP will be a little bit different lyrical wise.
Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? Martin writes the lyrics and mostly discusses the drums. The rest just comes up with their own songs and then we work on them together.
Do you start with the music or the lyrics? Mostly with the music.
Do you compose in a certain inviroment? No, mostly at home I think.
Have you done any covers live? Yes, Abominable Putridity and No Zodiac.
What language do you sing in? English
What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? I think it variates from 20 to 400 people.
What ages are most of your concert attendants? It’s for everybody, young and old. No specific age.
Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? No depends, if we have new music then of course we would like to play it live as well.
Do you have a regular place you play live often? Not really.
What was your first gig like? First gig of the band was at Slamming Brutality in Germany, it was pretty well received.
What was your latest gig? That was in Belgium with the Disentomb Tour package.
Have you had to cancel a gig? Nope. We always do our very best to make the best out of situation.
Where have you played live this year? This year we played the Netherlands and Belgium.
Where do you plan to gig the comming year? We have a show coming at a pretty new festival in portugal called XXXAPADA. Open air on a beach!
When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? Directly when the band started. Things like shirt’s, CD’s and Hats.

What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days? It’s a way to discover a lot of great new bands. You can’t really go against it, but in this scene people are very loyal and if they really like your music they will buy it anyway.
How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? Of course a lot of money is lost because sells are way lower then before, but then again the public reach is way faster and bigger.

Do you have any role models or idols? Necrophagist.
Why do you think that they exist? Because their style is very unique.
Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? I would say both.
What have been your biggest obstacles? Finding a drummer.
What advice would you give other bands or artists? Bring out a lot of music and play lot’s of gigs. And always do your best to preform at your gig, nobody likes bands that don't move. Even if the public isn't really into it always give it your best.
How do you get psyched for a gig? Mostly listening to music and challenge myself to be more powerful and interracting than the band before.
Do you have any new material? Yes, we are currently recording and new EP that will be released trough Kings of Decay.
