Yes every member of the band had play in an other band.

Nico Witches (the drumer) was playing in a metal band.

Micky Witches (the bassist was playing in a rap/metal band.

Oli Witches (me: guitarist / singer) has play in several bands trying to create a band that goes well.

How is it that you started playing music?

Oli: I have started to create bands at the age of seventeen.

In 2005 i had to study again because it was difficult for me to find work.

So i have stop making bands and only playing at home for 6 years. I was studying. It is not easy to earn money with music...

I have restart making bands in 2011.

It was the debut of The Burned Witches.

Before Micky and Nico there was two previous drummer and bassist (Christian TROUVE (drum), Cedric PEYROT)and other persons who have not stay a long time.

What are your names? / Who plays what? / How old are you?

Nico Witches is the drumer), he has 30 .

Micky Witches is the bassist,he has 51.

Oli Witches (me) i'm guitarist / singer. I'm 48.

Have you had other previous members? Yes they are Jean Beraud (drum), Christian Trouve (drum), Cedric Peyrot (bass), Emmanuel Berthaud (drum), Thomas Malecki (bass), Bruno Valentin (drum).

Did you make music even when you were young? Yes

Where are you from? We are from Burgondy, a region of France where there is a big tradition in wine. Huuuummm :-)

What year did the band form? The band has start in 2011.

What's your style of genre?

Our style is Rock Heavy Psychedelic.

But it is difficult to classify music.

There is no real frontier between styles.

I used 3 guitars that are in different tunes.

What inspires you?

I'm very inspired by persons who works for a better world. By persons who work for unity and peace . By persons who create happiness.

At first I'm inspired by musicians who work for that but also by persons who work for that in every fields of the society.

There is an inspiration section on our website. It show very interesting persons and projects.

I listen also a lot of little bands like us.

The goal when creating music is to create something that have the power to drive the listener in a world of peace and inspiration.

How often and where do you rehearse? Together we rehearse one or two times by week. But we also rehearse individually. Sometimes every day. But there is also a lot of work to do for the band that isn't music.

How have you developed since you started with the music?

In my personal way, I was playing in Punk Rock bands I have learn classical guitar and classical singing. I have go to Mali to learn the guitar style of Mali. I have also take courses of Flamenco. So the development of my way of playing guitar is influence by that.

About my bandmates, only them can speak about their own devellopment.

In the way of the band, each team is unique and more we play together more we create a chemistry and an unique way of playing our music.

Individually we work on our soul to be better as human.

Do you have other interests of work outside the band?

Yes art in general. But in everything that create peace and joy.

Micky Witches who plays the bass in the band is also very interested by painters. He buy painting from painter that he like a lot.

Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that?

Yes, for sure.

A booking agency have a network and can help us a lot to find good places to play.

Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that?

Yes a partnership with a label could be very interesting to grow.

Building a band is very hard and more we are to work for that better it is.

What made you decide to make this music?

I Think it is my sensibility about music.

The emotions that i have when listening music are so strong that i want to give the same to others.

I see very bad the colors but i'm very surprised when i listen or read what the painters are thinking about the light, the colors, their visions.

They go very deep in their passion.

I think oh for me it is the music...

I'm also interested by the power of music on the societies.

Music has a big impact on the creation of life.

The sound has influence a lot the shapes of things everywhere.

You can see it in the cymatics.

The drawing on the back of the turtles are a frequence, a music note.

The drawing on the fur of the leopards is also a music note.

My quest is to go deeper in the way of love by the music.

What are your songs about?

Behind each song is a symbol.

It is like arrows of ideas that i hope can influence in a good way.

For example in the first album the themes are:

• Not Die In Vain talks about the fact that no one can find peace by doing evil or being bad. And that if the evil is done there is nothing left but to work to repair or redeem in order to begin to glimpse peace.

• Innocent Answer speaks of a child in the womb of his mother and the madness of certain humans and their wars.

• Recipeace is a mad recipe for happiness.

• Tsar Bomba talks about the biggest atomic bomb that exploded on earth and demands that it never happen again.

• North Korean Dream is against all dictatorships and calls for revolution.

• Tatiana's Way talks about a young girl looking for her way.

• Wild Soul is a piece for the respect of animals.

It is the evolution and we have to do with.

We are now in the digital air.

Streaming and download are the most used way to listen music.

You can have all your music library in your pocket.

We have the project (if we have money for...) to create a record as an art object.

I mean we want to create an object that you want to keep also for the beauty of the thing.

A change that i see is that before big labels were controlling all the music market but now the link between the listener and the musician is direct.

It is a chance for everyone ;-)
