Where are you from? We are all coming from Wedel, Germany and still live here.

What year did the band form? 1985.

What's your style of genre? Traditional Heavy Metal.

What inspires you? Everything from music to movies.

How often and where do you rehearse? Weekly.

How have you developed since you started with the music? We are way better musicians now. We started Metal Witch when we were teenagers learing to play.

What made you decide to make this music? We all loved Heavy Metal, Hardrock and Punk. Then we decided that we will form a band. I think that´s always the story.

What are your songs about? Mostly about friendship, legends, horrorstories and the power of Heavy Metal.

Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? We all compose but I write the lyrics.

Do you start with the music or the lyrics? It depends. Sometimes I write lyrics without music sometimes we write some riffs and the lyric follows.

Have you done any covers live? One gig only we did a medley: Balls to the wall (Accept) / Princess of the night (Saxon).

What language do you sing in? English.

What ages are most of your concert attendants? I would say from 30 to 50.

Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We always change songs in our setlist to keep it exciting.

What was your first gig like? Unforgetable. We were so proud to enter a stage for the first time like our heroes. We played for our friends and familymembers. I think 50 people showed up.

What was your latest gig? Last gig was at the very cool Bambi Galore in Hamburg Germany.

Where do you plan to gig the coming year? Anywhere were fans want us to play and we can afford to travel.

When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? We started to sell merch in 2000. We have shirts and patches.

Where can people buy your merchandise? www.metalwitch.de

What do you think of my work? I really appreciate everyone who support us. So thank you and all the best of luck to you!

Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? We are heavily influenced by bands of the 80s. It was the golden years of Heavy Metal. Everything felt fresh and exciting.

What advice would you give other bands or artists? Do your own thing and never give up. Do it for fun and not for money.

Do you have any new material? We are still writing new songs.
