interview with Grave Robbert

Have any of you played in other bands? I used to play the bass for a while in the Kidzmetal band "Tore and the No Smokers"

What are your names? / Who plays what?

My name's Rob Grave, I play the guitar and do the vocals.

Then we have Stone Sinna who also plays guitar.

For the other members, you'll just have to wait to find out, haha

Have you had other previous members? Not really official members, but we've tried out a few who was part of it for a while.

Where are you from? I'm from a small village in the swedish Countryside

What year did the band form? Technically I started the project in 2010, but it didnt really become a band until the end of 2017

What's your style of genre? Horror/Sleaze - Metal

What inspires you? Life, and all the tragedies it comes with

Are you looking for a booking agency, and what are your thoughts around that? I am actually! A bit of freedom is important

Are you looking for a label, and what are your thoughts around that? Recently just signed with LHM Records for the release of our first album, we'll see where that'll lead

What are your songs about? I'd say it's rather obvious judging by the lyrics

Who does the composing and writes the lyrics? I written pretty much all the lyrics, and most of the music, Stone is a huge part of the musical composition aswell

Do you compose in a certain inviroment? Not really, inspiration can strike anywhere

Have you done any covers live?

Yeah, a few years ago I used to do

What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs? Well, sometimes you play for the door, and sometimes there's a few hundred people, don't really have a exact number

What ages are most of your concert attendants? Mostly between 18 - 35

Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary? We've always varied the set depending on where and when we play

Do you have a regular place you play live often? Not yet, haha

What was your first gig like? Just plain weird and eventful, like all of Grave Robberts gigs

What was your latest gig? Pub Anchor, December 2017

Where have you played live this year? Nowhere, been busy in the studio all year

When did you start to sell merchandise, and what do you have for sale? Many years ago, we've had a variety of Tshirts, pins and patches

Where can people buy your merchandise? By contacting me, we're putting up a webshop soon!

What do you think about people downloading music instead of buying records now a days?

Well, honestly, the loss of income sure is a bummer.

But I'm just happy that people wanna listen and spread our music

How do you think the music industry have changed because of this? Just Google "Metallica Napster" haha

Why do you think that they exist? Because they wanted to kick ass, and that's exactly what they do

Is it easier to find inspiration from older bands, or bands that are more active today? Hard to say, like I said earlier, inspiration can come from anywhere,

What have been your biggest obstacles? Exposure

What advice would you give other bands or artists? It's not a competition,help eachother out!
